Great article on ABC today from one of our founders Chris.

"By targeting the breath and using the breath to calm the nervous system, using movements that stimulate the circulation of hormones throughout the body, it gives the body the ability to heal," says Thompson-Lang.

Want to see if yours will work for you join one of our classes - face to face or virtually from anywhere in Australia!

There have been countless studies done on the benefits of yoga for Post Traumatic Stress. Some of the reasons why yoga can help are:

1. It calm's the nervous system.
2. It helps your treatments with your therapists
3. It helps you get out of the house and back into social situations
4. It reveals how the body responds to stress
5. It brings you back to your body.

Another reason to practice mindfulness both formally and in our every day lives.

Another reason to practice mindfulness both formally and in our every day lives.

"Mindfulness directly engages the parts of our brain (the insula and anterior cingulate cortex) that are key in reading others’ emotions. When we mindfully recognize that another is hurt or afraid, we naturally feel the tenderness of compassion. That tenderness blossoms fully as we find ways to express our care. This alchemy of letting ourselves be touched by another’s pain and of responding with love is the essence of Buddhist compassion practices." ~True Refuge
