Why do reading glasses suddenly become a thing after 40? 👀

It’s not your eyes getting ‘lazy’ — it’s your lens.

Inside your eye is a natural lens that works just like a camera lens. 📷
When we’re younger, it can zoom in and out easily to focus up close.
As we age, that lens slowly gets bigger and stiffer, meaning it can’t change focus as well anymore.

This usually happens somewhere between 40–60 (give or take)…
Which is why it starts to feel like your arms are getting shorter and shorter. 🤳

Reading glasses simply give your eyes that little bit of extra help — 🤓
Making words clearer, brighter, and easier to focus on up close. 😉

And no — there aren’t exercises to stop this. 🏋️
It’s a normal, physiological change, and reading glasses are the solution, not the problem 👓
