🚲☀️ What a wheely good afternoon at ARC!

This week we hosted our Wheely Active Biking Experience at the ARC Hub, and it was such a joy to see our community come together to move, connect, and try something new.

We welcomed a mix of ARC clients and people who were curious about the pedalled and powered trikes, and the sunshine turned it into the perfect setting to get outside and get active. There were smiles all round as participants rode at their own pace, explored the different bikes, and experienced just how freeing and confidence-boosting adaptive cycling can be.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, had a ride, and supported one another, and also a huge thank you to Freedom Solutions Australia - previously Solve-TAD for making it happen.

If you missed out but are interested in learning more about pedalled or powered trikes, reach out to our team and we’d be happy to help you explore your options. 💙

When Claire was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in December 2024, stiffness, pain and a loss of confidence made everyday life feel uncertain.

Fast forward to today — she’s exercising three times a day, lifting weights, and embracing our PD circuit classes with energy and determination. 💪

Claire has rebuilt her strength, improved her balance and walking, and — most importantly — rediscovered her confidence.
We’re so proud of the progress she’s made and the positivity she brings to every session.

Living with a neurological condition such as spinal cord injury, MS or stroke can affect bladder, bowel and sexual function — yet these changes are often the least talked about. They are common, treatable, and nothing to be ashamed of.

In our latest blog, the team at Advance Rehab Centre explains:

✔️ Why bladder and bowel changes happen after neurological injury
✔️ Common symptoms to look out for
✔️ How sexual health and intimacy can be affected
✔️ What support and specialist services are available

👉 Patient Webinar: Understanding Neurogenic Bladder
Our first Patient Webinar of 2026 will be presented by ARC Neurological Physiotherapist Megan Rossato, helping patients and caregivers understand neurogenic bladder, practical management strategies, treatment options, and referral pathways — with time for questions.

Late last year, we celebrated Claudia’s Gold Star. ⭐

When Claudia arrived at ARC, she couldn’t walk.
No injury. No warning. Just a sudden loss of movement and a diagnosis she had never heard of — Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).

What followed was courage, trust, and an incredible commitment to rehabilitation.

This video shows the amazing transformation of movement returning, confidence rebuilding, and independence being regained.

In such a short time, Claudia has gone from arriving in a wheelchair to driving herself, returning to work, and running again.

Claudia’s journey is a powerful reminder that FND is real — and recovery is possible with the right support, education, and care.
