Starting in June and ending in July 2025, I had the wonderful opportunity with No5 Young People and Sound Therapist, Dan Bilbrough, to support and facilitate the delivery of a Creative Expressive Wellbeing programme!
The project supported 8 young people across 8 weeks with drumming and sound baths.
My experience extends from working with young people to adults from diverse backgrounds, supporting a wide range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, stress, low mood and struggles with neurodiversity and identity.
Furthermore, creativity can support self-awareness, grounding, emotional expression, processing of trauma and improving bonding and communication with others. I continually enjoy participating in the calming and re-energising experience of music through singing, dancing and therapy, and looked forward to providing a safe, fun and contained space to support happiness and wellbeing.
The results of the Creative Expressive Drumming Workshops were wonderful – showing increased confidence, happiness, feelings of being heard, sociability, creativity and an overall improvement in wellbeing.
Thank you No5 Young People and Sound Therapist Dan Bilbrough for providing the space to be part of this meaningful project 💛 And thank you to the Peter Baker Foundation for the much-needed funding that made it possible.
