Testimonials:

"Dear Sarah, My beautiful 10 year old boy and I have just completed our magical 6 week meditation journey with you. You have given us a lifelong gift of meditation. Something we will treasure forever. I highly recommend this course for the young and old. My boy keeps asking when can we go back! See you soon you precious lady. xxoo"

"I was referred to Sarah following a very traumatic incident in my life. I had always been a strong, independent person, a leader in my workplace. I tended to give my all to others and perhaps not care for myself enough. All of a sudden my life collapsed around me and I was a mess. I knew I needed help. My psychologist suggested that learning to calm my thoughts and my mind when it was in turmoil was an important strategy for healing. She suggested learning meditation and she suggested Sarah. I tentatively contacted Sarah, thinking that if she sounded too weird or too ' new agey' - I didn't have to go. Sarah suggested a course of six sessions during which time we would learn about and practice different types of meditation. From the first session, Sarah helped me feel safe and she gently got to know me as a person, not just as a client. She showed amazing understanding of what I had been through and her empathy with my problems was genuine as well as therapeutic. She taught me to be kinder to myself, to listen to myself and to love myself just a little more. She became part of a team of strong women professionals who guided me through that tough time. Not all the meditation techniques worked for me, but the ones that did have become part of my daily life. I actually did some follow up sessions with Sarah six months later when I was going through a shaky patch which were great. I know that I can do further sessions with Sarah whenever I need too. Sarah is professional and she has studied extensively to gain her qualifications. She is also friendly, gentle, warm, kind and caring. I am blessed to have met Sarah and to have her in my life." "I have had a number of guided meditation sessions with Sarah Bennett now and found her guidance and teaching to immeasurable. The experiences have engaged me in some of the deepest, and to be honest, most emotional states that I have experienced in a long time. The surroundings have always been cleansed and there is such a positive and relaxed feeling when you are in her teaching space. I have found that my physical and mental states are improving to a more positive and relaxed condition as I practice her teaching in my own environment. Sarah is patient, very willing to listen, kind, warm and generous with her vast knowledge on a variety of meditation methods. I would love to keep her to myself, but I would be doing the community an injustice by keeping this experience from them. With love and peace, Very Highly Recommended" RW

"I'm very happy to provide this testimonial. I'm a 36 year old bloke who loves a beer, V8's, the Cronulla Sharks and now, thanks to Sarah Bennett; sinking into a relaxing meditation. For about 12 months, I was struggling with getting to sleep and just generally being able to switch off and relax. After a trip to the Doc, I was given Sarah's details. My Doc knew I had no experience with meditation and had never really considered it as a response to, well, anything. But, I decided it couldn't hurt, so I gave her a call. From the first contact, Sarah was excellent at explaining how the practice of meditation worked and how I could use it for a natural remedy. From the first session, I was pretty hooked. Over a few weeks we tried a range of meditation styles, letting me work out which ones worked for me and which ones didn't connect as well. I learnt about the philosophy and the connection to overall wellness, but to just the right amount (enough to keep me interested, but not so much that it was more like a lecture!). Each time Sarah would guide me through a different meditation method, she would then send me off with some instructions for practising later. The sessions themselves are extremely relaxing, but having the ability to do it yourself is amazing. Sarah is personable, positive, smart, very easy to listen to and bubbly as a puppy. I now like to kick back (well, sit up actually) and let the world flow around me for a while - sometimes it's 5 minutes in the office at work, sometimes a half an hour or so at home. If you're thinking about giving meditation a go, I'd definitely contact Sarah." Jason

"Sarah visited our centre and taught meditation with a group of 40 children. Her calm and peaceful presence brought a beautiful tranquility into the centre. The tailor-made exercises allowed the kids (and staff) to stay focused and open. We can't thank her enough and would highly recommend her to anyone!" I am so incredibly proud of Isabella and Jasmine. It has been such a pleasure teaching these 2 incredible women. I have witnessed incredible courage, compassion and resilience as well as an inner strength that they both carry thru their mindset, physical endurance and beautiful nature.

To see them spend time in the Indigenous communities and in Country makes my heart sing!!!! Keep going gorgeous women, can't wait to see you both and hear of your latest journey!!!!!

Take Care of Your Energy

Release what does not
belong to you.

You can spend years
pouring your energy
into filling every silence,
solving every problem,
absorbing every ache
that drifts in your direction.

And for a while,
it can almost feel natural,
to be the one who steps in,
the one who quietly
gathers the pieces
again and again.

But eventually
a quiet truth settles in:
you cannot be all things
for all people.

You were never meant
to hold every burden,
to answer every longing,
to soothe every wound.

Take care of your energy,
and your energy will take
care of you.

You are one life,
one heart,
one pair of hands,
and there is a tender kind of freedom
in finally honoring that.

Accepting this truth
isn’t an act of withholding;
it’s an act of honesty.
It is choosing to show up
as yourself,
not as an ever-shifting silhouette
shaped by the needs around you.

It is trusting that others, too,
are capable of resilience,
of seeking comfort, of finding their own way forward
and knowing your worth
has never depended
on being indispensable.

And when you stop
trying to be everything,
the parts of you
that were stretched too thin
begin to gather back
into place.
You become clearer,
steadier,
whole.

And the relationships
that endure
are the ones that value you,
not for the roles you can play,
not for the burdens you can carry,
but simply
for the truth
of who you are.

"Perhaps our “life's purpose” has nothing to do with what job we will find, what new thing we will manifest or attract for ourselves, or what mythical awakening journey we will complete. Perhaps the purpose of our life is to fully live, finally, to touch each here and now moment with our presence and with the gift of our one, wild heart.

And to do whatever we can to help others, to hold them when they are hurting, to listen carefully to their stories and the ways they are attempting to make sense of a world that has gone a bit mad. To speak kind words and not forget the erupting miracle of the other as it appears in front of us. Perhaps this is the most radical gift that we can all give." - Matt Licata

With great sadness, the Jane Goodall Institute confirmed this morning the passing of the organization’s founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, age 91 who died peacefully in her sleep while in Los Angeles, CA for her speaking tour in the United States.

Dr. Goodall’s life and work not only made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, but also of humankind and the environments we all share. She inspired curiosity, hope and compassion in countless people around the world, and paved the way for many others — particularly young people who gave her hope for the future.

In 1960 Dr. Goodall established the longest running wild chimpanzee study in Gombe National Park, Tanzania which continues to this day. She pioneered and sustained the Jane Goodall Institute’s community-centered conservation initiatives across the chimpanzee range for over four decades. Her legacy includes the creation of JGI’s international environmental and humanitarian youth program Roots & Shoots, which is actively driving change in 75 countries and counting around the world.

The Jane Goodall Institute is incredibly grateful to all our supporters, partners, and friends, especially during this difficult time. To add a personal remembrance of Dr. Goodall and continue her legacy for future generations, please visit JaneGoodall.org/RememberingJane

Testimonials:

"Dear Sarah, I would like to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for the hour or so of peace and serenity you give my life each week. Your meditations keep me going and help me to release and resolve any issues I may have. From the moment I reach your door I have checked out of my every day errands and for the next hour this is my time and I’m able to do this because I know that I am in a safe place and whatever we discuss is without any judgement.

Sarah you have a massive heart and just being in your presence is a boost whether it’s in your class or running into you at the shopping centre. Thank you for being you and thank you for my serenity once a week. " Xx S

"I have just finished a 6 week meditation course with Sarah Bennett. It has given me a new balance and restored calmness back in my life. It was recommended to me to learn some meditation techniques to alleviate anxiety and stress when flying on aeroplanes and also when dealing with change in my life. I had one meditation session with Sarah a few days before I travelled to Thailand for a 2 week holiday, and this made me feel 100% better. I was able to relax and sleep on the flight and I even enjoyed myself. Sarah teaches with a genuine love and kindness in her heart and always makes you feel at ease with every meditation. She takes the time to explain each session and how you may feel during her class. Sarah is always a positive and reassuring guide throughout her sessions. Meditation has changed my life and has shown me another way to deal with anxiety, stress and changes in my life in a positive way. I feel extremely lucky to have meet Sarah and will be forever grateful to her for the techniques that she has taught me." R.G.
