Kate’s path into the funeral industry began from a place of deep personal loss. After the heartbreaking experience of losing her third child, she became involved in a support group for bereaved parents – a journey that opened her heart to helping others navigate grief. It was through this that she discovered her calling: to walk beside families in their most difficult moments and offer comfort, guidance, and understanding.
Now with over 10 years of experience in the industry and almost 4 years at Guilfoyle’s, Kate draws on both her professional knowledge and personal insight to support families through each step of the funeral process. As our manager, she meets with many families face to face, offering thoughtful advice and helping them make arrangements that honour their loved one with care and dignity. She brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a calm, reassuring presence to every conversation.
She knows how heavy it can feel to grieve and make arrangements – and if she can ease just a little of that burden, she knows she has done something meaningful. Kate also serves as Vice President of the Atherton Rotary Club, where she continues to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys relaxing, listening to music, and cooking.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They have to be felt with the heart.”
