Who has the time now with Covid to go have a mammogram and not put it off... The small inconvenience... Is nothing to what you will endure if you leave it too late...your kids will love you for it...

Hey Lovelies, how about a mammogram for your birthday or close by as a reminder.... when was the last time you checked... scared i'm sure... but having biopsy then a double mastectomy, hysterectomy, chemo for 6 months, radiation, operation after operation.....people say a mammogram is painful... it's not at all..the above is...just a reminder.

Just checking ladies.. hope you have not become complacent with your check ups... Easy to do... You owe it to your famil...

People think that once you have finished your treatment, everything goes back to normal...WRONG. There is continual pain in muscles, joints etc. There is continual checkups and therapies needed. As an example for me due to the cancer spreading through to 8 of my lymph nodes under my arm, i now have what is called lymphoedema which means i continually have swelling in my right arm and i am very limited to what i can do with it. I cannot lift anything heavy, can't play many sports etc. At times it swells so much that the fluid pushes on all my nerves causing pain, pins and needles and is extremely uncomfortable. It feels like a dead weight which has been hit with a hammer...Each and every night for the last 3 years, i have to lay in bed with an arm sleeve on attached to a machine which pumps the fluid back up my arm to the rest of my body. This takes at least one hour and sometimes more depending on the swelling. If i did not do this, the fluid would retain there and my right arm could swell to the size of my leg...this is a life long issue i have to deal with each and every day. So ladies, once again, one hour is all it takes to organise and have a mammogram..which could save you this hour plus every night...Early detection is your best protection.!!

Im so sorry if I'm bothering people..I was miss diagnosed....so I have cancer not slightly... but a lot,all through all my lymph nodes and in my chest wall... this could have all be prevented......I have not posted for a while but feel that it's necessary as everyone not to be come complacent...and think "it does not happen to me"..... I thought that also...
