Last night I was honoured to be able to attend Vision Connections presentation to the final year UWA Optometry students. Joanne Scott-Dostine spoke about independent optometry and how that model looked, as well as insight into running your own practice. Myself and one of my Optometrists, Helen, spoke about independent practice and answered many questions. The 2026 group graduating this year were engaged, open to discussion and excited to head off to placements this year.
