Yoga, Ayurveda, Astrology, and the Akashic Records – each a doorway into connection, wisdom and transformation. Through the lens of Ayurveda, Yoga and Tantra, Susie's prime goal is to take you on a journey into stillness. Using the tools from these three ancient sciences we learn what works best for us, for our own unique expression of the life force energy that runs through us, governing what we experience, feel and think. Although in the West we view Yoga as a group experience, it was not intended for it to be this way. Yoga is a state of being as well as the journey there. It can be useful to experience this as a group but the real impetus for change can only be found internally, in the quietude of your heart space. The practices of Tantric Hatha Yoga and the principles of Ayurveda and Yoga lead us into a wellspring of knowledge and practical applications, when taken to our inner sanctuary, lead us to our own
unique expression of universal wisdom in the world. Our own personal gifts are recognised and most importantly we learn how to express them outwardly. This is the path that serves me, these are the teachings I learn from every day, it is my passion to share and to learn with you.

This is Vata time.
Air and ether. Wind and restlessness.
The earth is contracting back.
The water is contracting back.
And the trees
The trees are on fire.
That slow blaze of colour is the element of fire
doing one last, gorgeous, letting-go.
There’s something in that for us too.
Autumn asks us to release the intensity
of forward motion.
The big plans. The full-speed-ahead.
Winter is coming,
and it will ask us to slow down
whether we’re ready or not.
If we don’t begin to soften now,
that unspent fire has a way
of burning us from the inside.
The wind is real.
The restlessness is real.
And so is the beauty
of slowing down.

This time of year can feel seductive — full of pull, expectation, indulgence, joy, grief, connection, or loneliness. Often all at once.

For me, Christmas has become a time of discernment and reflection. A quieter turning inward. A remembering that faith — whether it’s devotion to God, the Earth, or learning to trust ourselves — is what steadies us. Not the belief system itself, but the humility of knowing we are part of something greater.

I’ve just returned from Penang, and once again felt how devotion woven into daily life creates kindness, safety, and connection. Faith lived, not argued. Practised, not performed.

This is the spirit behind our early morning January practices.

Meeting at 6:30am, via zoom, three mornings a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will come together before the day claims us — to listen, soften, observe, and remember ourselves.

January can be strange, can’t it? We enter it with good intentions, but then it drifts—slow days, broken routines, the aftermath of holidays.
We end up feeling unmoored, or worse, hard on ourselves for not being “on it” yet.

What if we gave January a different kind of structure? Not rigid. Not forced. But a gentle backbone—a way to anchor ourselves while everything else finds its rhythm.

I’m inviting you to join me in THE 4 - WEEK SURRENDER

WE’LL EXPLORE:

- Breath practices (pranayama) that calm and energize
- Movement that awakens and strengthens
- Yin practices for deep release

Tonight we have an exalted full moon in the earthly abundant sign of Ta**us!

Its ruler, Venus, happy in home ground of Libra.

How do we find justice and balance in a seemingly separated world?

We turn to Saturn in Pisces, and Jupiter in Cancer.

We look to Mars opposite Uranus, with Mercury close to Mars and Uranus in Mercury’s territory of Gemini.

We ask:
Can we allow for a breaking down of mental paradigms that only know separation?
Can we find unity consciousness in the opposites?
Can we make room for surprise? Even for shocking revelation?
What ideologies have become prisons disguised as righteousness or even transcendence?

This full moon invites us to be both!
Grounded and expanded
Structured and infinite
Human and a part of the great mystery

In our quest for what is right we can lose our connection to what we don’t know.
What we don’t know can lead us to liberation and unity.

This seems to be our Full moon in Ta**us quest!
We cannot prepare for surprise.. we can only receive it.. with open heart and mind 🤍

Go gently as you bask in this reflective time for your mind.

May we see what we need to see
May we have the courage to let go
May we rest and allow
May we rise with hearts ablaze

This week’s Mars-Pluto square has got me thinking about Tejas - one of my favorite Ayurvedic concepts.

Tejas is the refined form of Pitta dosha. While raw Pitta is our digestive fire, stomach acid, metabolism - Tejas is its evolved state - that luminous intelligence behind our eyes, the light that guides us toward our dharma.

It’s like moving from heat that burns to light that illuminates

And this Mars - Pluto square is the perfect representation for this alchemical process.

Mars in Scorpio (happy in its domicile) gives us the power to cut through and excavate what’s been hidden

Pluto in Aquarius (recently starting its 21-year journey) brings revolutionary transformation

The square creates that productive tension - like pressure turning coal into diamonds 💎

For me, with Scorpio in my 2nd house and Aquarius in my 5th, this is all about transforming how I value myself and how I express my creativity.

What wants to evolve from raw passion into refined purpose?

Look at where these signs fall in your chart - what’s asking to be alchemized in your life?

What light wants to be born?

When Tejas is awakened, we feel aligned with our path, experience clarity instead of overwhelm, and let that inner light guide our choices.

The invitation this week - become an alchemist of your own consciousness - through food that nourishes you, action that supports your growth and calming practices to cool the heat of this configuration.

The final eclipse was Monday morning. I felt a lightness, then as the Sun moved into Libra, my ascendant ruler, it connected to my natal Pluto and opposed Neptune. I felt a fire rise. Sun conjunct natal Pluto. It’s personal.

Can you feel the burn? Not just from eclipse season, but the deeper burn of transformation happening right now. Eclipses aren’t isolated events - they carry history and integration work that continues long after the cosmic event has passed.

This year feels like a changing of the guard. The way we have guarded our hearts, minds and bodies. All those ego structures that have held us in familiar patterns are undergoing major overhaul.

We’re slowly moving from earth and water into fire and air energy. Expressed through our slow moving outer planets.

Coming off eclipse season into sun in Libra (equinox), Mars in Scorpio, and water trines ahead, we’re in a time of burning and washing away what no longer serves. For me, it’s shame. That deep shame that has bound me in unworthiness. These things are ready to be transformed.

We transform in the fire. We burn up karma and find our dharma through willingness to align with something greater, with the light, with what is true. This week’s astrology (Mars, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus all in conversation) feels deeply transformational.

The work is to sit in the fire, to sit in the cauldron of yourself. To see yourself fully, allow what wants to be expressed, feel what wants to be felt. The water trines coming will help us integrate everything we’re learning from this fire and air energy, washing away any heaviness remaining, it’s an alchemical process creating liquid gold that illuminates us from within.

Please don’t think eclipse season is over and everything can settle now. This is when the real work begins - the mindful dropping in, allowing the changes, allowing the burning away of what we no longer need.

Solar Eclipse in Virgo ✨ Monday September 22nd 5.55am

Finding quietness in the storm

This eclipse at 29° Virgo opposite Saturn at 29° Pisces is deeply symbolic—we’re finishing cycles, softening, learning that love is the only way.

Virgo’s questions for you:

• How are you digesting what you consume? (media, food, relationships, work)

• How are you caring for your physical vessel?

• What needs purification in your life?

The Pisces whisper:

Feel again. Become sensitive. Forgiveness is medicine.
This isn’t about new beginnings—it’s a letting go portal. The south node brings the past forward for release and dissolution.

Right after: Sun enters Libra at 0° (Equinox!) - the great balance point.

The way through: Rest in the transition spaces. There’s nothing to do but witness, feel, be within. Let your heart open so you can re-sensitize.

Our Story

Susie’s Space is undergoing change at the moment.

Classes will resume for the third term, the week starting Monday 13th July 2020, if there are no changes to the Covid restrictions.

I will be offering classes along with a menu of private sessions available. I have been doing a lot of extra study. I will be offering the tools from Ayurveda, Yoga and Ta***ic Hatha Yoga.

I will update here and on my website over the next four weeks.
