As a clinical Naturopath, I’m dedicated to your whole health

When it comes to concussion and the many post-concussive symptoms that can linger for months… or even years… you deserve more than “just wait it out.”

Symptoms can evolve over time. They can show up in ways you don’t expect. And they can impact everything from your energy and mood to your sleep, hormones, digestion and cognition.

You are not imagining it.
And you are not stuck.

Through personalised, evidence-informed naturopathic care, I help you navigate a more healthful path forward - supporting your nervous system, reducing inflammation, replenishing nutrients and guiding your body back toward balance.

Healing is possible. And you don’t have to do it alone.

✨ Ready to feel like yourself again? Let’s begin.

People with concussion injuries or multiple head traumas are constantly telling me the same thing…

“There’s a disconnect between what I’m being told… and how I actually feel.”

They’re told:
✔️ “You’re fine.”
✔️ “Your scans are clear.”
✔️ “It’s probably stress.”
✔️ “Just give it time.”

But they’re living with:
– Brain fog
– Fatigue that doesn’t lift
– Mood swings
– Poor sleep
– Headaches
– Hormonal shifts
– Digestive changes

Just because your MRI is clear doesn’t mean your brain is functioning optimally.

Concussion isn’t just structural. It’s metabolic. It’s inflammatory. It’s physiological.

And when your symptoms don’t match the reassurance you’re given, it can make you doubt yourself.

You’re not imagining it.
You’re not weak.
You’re not “just anxious.”

There is a reason you feel the way you do.
And there is support available.

You deserve more than “wait it out.”

Just because you’re getting through the day
doesn’t mean you’re healed.

If you’re living with:
• brain fog
• crushing fatigue
• mood swings
• poor sleep
• hormone chaos

After a head injury, that’s not “just stress.”
And it’s not something you have to accept.

You were told to rest.
You were told it would pass.
You were told there’s nothing more to do.

But there is.

Targeted support for your brain.
Regulation for your nervous system.
Real strategies to help you feel like YOU again.

“Fine” isn’t the goal.
Feeling well is.

Concussion symptoms don’t always show up straight away.

After a head impact, symptoms can appear hours, days, weeks or even months later. And they don’t always look the way you expect them to.

It can show up as:
• Sleep disturbances
• Poor concentration
• Mood shifts
• Digestive issues
• Disruptions to menstruation

These symptoms are real. They’re not “just stress.” They’re not “in your head.”

Concussion isn’t psychological, it’s physiological.

If you’ve had a head impact and things haven’t felt right since, your body deserves to be taken seriously

👋 Hi, I’m Louise - The Concussion Naturopath.

Matcha lover. Mother of 3. Pilates princess in training.
I’ve watched every episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race… twice.
Dorothy is my favourite from The Golden Girls.
I was a shift manager at Macca’s at 16.
And yes… I once played an after-dinner mint in a school musical.

But here’s the part that really matters.

I once had a headache for two years.
No answers. No help. No explanation.

Years later I was diagnosed with MS. Later again, Hashimoto’s.
Back then, I didn’t even know what a naturopath was, but I sure wish I did.

Looking back, I’m pretty convinced the root cause was constant, chronic burnout… with a generous side of Epstein Barr.

My story is why I do this work.
Because being told “everything looks normal” when you feel anything but normal is not the end of the story.

There is always a reason.
And there is always a way forward 🤍

It doesn’t matter whether you have one symptom or twenty after a head injury.

What matters is this: if you’ve had a head impact, your brain has experienced trauma. And that needs to be taken seriously.

Symptoms don’t always show up immediately. They can evolve over days, weeks, or even months as the true impact on the brain unfolds. Just because you “felt fine” at first doesn’t mean everything is fine.

Your brain is not something to push through for.
It’s not something to ignore.
And it’s not something to guess your way through.

If you’ve experienced a head knock, listen to your body and get the right support early. The sooner you understand what’s happening, the better your recovery can be.

You only get one brain.

Debilitating symptoms can really bring you down.
But sometimes, hidden within that experience, there’s a quiet silver lining.

It can become the moment that invites you to live more fully.
To realign with what actually matters.
To step away from constant hustling.
To build habits that support your health for life.

To stop pushing harder and instead slow down, listen, and find flow.

Did you know post-concussion syndrome can show up in ways you’d never expect? 🤯

It’s often mistaken for other issues because the symptoms list is loooong. Here are some of the more common ones 👇

🤯 Migraines
💩 Digestive issues
🛌 Sleep problems
😵‍💫 Poor judgement & decision-making
😒 Mental health changes
⚖️ Hormonal imbalances (including lowered testosterone)
🥵 Reduced tolerance to stress
🍆 Altered or loss of sexual function

Concussion isn’t just a head injury, it’s a whole-body, systemic disruption.
If this list feels uncomfortably familiar, it might be time to look deeper 💭

🧠 Concussion in Australia: the reality

Each year in Australia:
• Over 28,000 people present to hospitals with concussion
• But the true number is closer to 170,000–180,000 concussions annually
• Around 100,000 occur through sport
• Many concussions are never diagnosed or properly supported

For some, symptoms resolve quickly.
For others, they don’t.

Persistent headaches, brain fog, fatigue, mood changes — these aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs the nervous system needs support.

Early recognition and the right care can make a meaningful difference to recovery.

If you’ve had a head knock — recently or years ago — and don’t feel “back to normal,” you’re not alone.

Support exists. Healing is possible.

Concussion?
“What concussion?”
Go home & rest.

That’s still the advice too many people are given.

But concussion isn’t just a bump on the head — it’s a whole-body injury.
And “just resting” doesn’t address the neurological, hormonal & inflammatory chaos that can follow.

If you’re still dealing with symptoms weeks (or months) later, you’re not broken — you’re under-supported.

Concussion care needs more than dismissal.
It needs understanding, guidance & the right support. 🧠✨
