We are so pleased this role has been created to provide much needed support to melanoma patients across the region.

You are doing a great job Inbal! πŸ‘ πŸ‘πŸ‘

Grampians Health has appointed Inbal Ross as the region's first dedicated Melanoma Nurse, a role funded by by the Melanoma Institute of Australia and the Australian Government.

Since commencing, Inbal has helped establish the Melanoma Supportive Service, strengthening specialised care and coordination for melanoma patients across our campuses. Australia has the highest melanoma rates globally, and communities in the Grampians region are 22% more likely to develop melanoma. Working two days a week, Inbal has already supported more than 70 patients, providing education, care coordination, and emotional support close to home.

β€œWhile we continue to look at ways to improve the provision of cancer care, this achievement provides a solid foundation upon which we can build and further enhance our care for those affected by melanoma,” Ben Kelly, Chief Operating Officer, said.
