I can assure you, no one is perfect, no one has it together all the time, social media/media only show you a snapshot, a moment in time, and most of the time, that glimpse you see is polished to perfection to present what we’ve been told we should look/feel/act like to gather more reactions, more likes, more comments, more shares, more acceptance, more.........
We need to go back to loving and respecting ourselves the way we are, perfectly imperfect and totally amazing.
We need to go back to not needing or craving acceptance from others, not trying so hard to gather reactions/like/comments/shares from those who bring nothing real or lasting to our lives.

Self love
Self acceptance
Self confidence
Self respect
Self..........fall in love with the self that is you, fall in love with the awesome and the not so awesome, fall in love with the journey that is real life and living
You don’t need to see the distorted you anymore, through the lense of what society has tried to instil in us as desirable......you are desirable as you are

Strong
Fit
Healthy
Happy
Free........from the constraints of expectations

At least I’m still kicking….

When your body screams at you to slow down……please listen to it.

5 days in hospital/ICU, angiogram, chest X-rays, mri, ecgs, iron transfusion, copious amounts of bloods taken…..

May have had a heart attack, hypertension lv2, slightly elevated cholesterol, anemia, blood clots, myopericarditis……

But at least I’m alive, I’m home, I’m recovering

We are so quick to tell ourselves why we shouldn’t, why we can’t, why we won’t, and then wonder and complain about why nothing is changing.

Stop waiting for the perfect time,
The perfect time does not exist.

Doing the work is where change happens
Doing the work, outside what is comfortable and “perfect” is where growth forward occurs
Doing the work when we could have every excuse, justification, story, stop us, is where achieving and success flourish

You have the amazing potential for greatness
You have full capabilities to achieve
You just need to dig deep, cut out the excuses, justifications, stories, and get moving forward

Forward into the personal excellence that you deserve to reach and the personal excellence that will change your world

As we rocket towards Christmas don't forget to take care of the most important person, you.

If you are feeling flat or a little deflated, with little to no energy, just can't get into the swing of upbeat Christmas celebrations or dread this time of year……………

…………..Take time out to take care of you.

A few minutes, hours or whatever you can afford a day, will make a whole lot of difference.

And not only will it improve or help the way you are feeling but those around you will notice the positive difference and rejoice.

Refuse to live your life by a lower standard than what you deserve and are worth.

Refuse to not live up to the standard you deserve and that means doing the hard things

Do the hard things because you want what they result in

~ to be able to look in the mirror and like what you see
~ to be energetic and relatively stress free
~ to be healthy and as free as possible from illness and dis-ease
~ to be strong in body, mind and soul
~ to be the best example and role model for your children/family
~ to live a long, adventurous, happy life

…………. doing the hard work now gives you those things

Raise your standards
Do the work
Be the example
Kick ass at life
