🔎 What is the Thoracic Ring Approach™? 🔎
Your thorax (the middle part of your spine) is made up of rings of bones that work together to support movement, posture, and breathing. If your thoracic rings are not moving or behaving as well as they should, they may affect how your body feels and functions.
💡 The Thoracic Ring Approach™ is a way of assessing and treating how these rings move and interact with the rest of your body. Instead of focusing only on where you feel discomfort, this approach looks at overall movement patterns to help improve balance, mobility, strength and coordination.
✅ It may be helpful for people experiencing:
✔️ Stiffness or tension in the upper or mid-back
✔️ Shoulder or neck discomfort
✔️ Breathing difficulties related to movement
✔️ Recurring movement-related pain, including lower extremity aches/pains
By improving movement and awareness in the thoracic rings, this approach aims to support better overall function and comfort.
At Redo, we have 2 Certified ConnectTherapy™ Practitioners, well-versed in all things thoracic rings!

🌟 Breathe Right: Is There A “Right” Way to Breathe? 🌟
💥 Breathing – the first and last thing you ever will do!
➡️ As one of our most basic yet fundamental functions, it isn’t natural to think of our breathing all the time.
👉 Unfortunately, we now live in a world where poor posture, stress and anxiety are commonplace.
💥 These three things can adversely impact how well we breathe.

The Power of Strength Training for Women in Peri-Menopause & Menopause 💪🔥
Ladies, if you’re in your 40s, 50s, or beyond, strength training is your best friend for a strong, vibrant, and pain-free life! Here’s why:
✨ Preserve Muscle & Boost Metabolism – As estrogen declines, muscle loss accelerates. Strength training helps maintain muscle mass, keeping your metabolism high and energy levels up!
🦴 Stronger Bones, Less Risk of Osteoporosis – Resistance training increases bone density, reducing the risk of fractures and keeping you active for years to come.
🛑 Less Joint Pain & Inflammation – Strength training supports your joints, improves posture, and reduces aches and pains that often come with age.
💃 Confidence & Independence – Feeling strong in your body translates to feeling empowered in life. It’s never too late to start!
Whether you’re new to strength training or getting back into it, start slow, focus on technique, and embrace progress over perfection. Your future self will thank you!

RedoHealth is physiotherapy and exercise clinic located in Balmain, Sydney. At “Redo” we utilise a whole body approach focusing on the whole person and the whole body to get our clients moving and feeling better, so that they can do the things they love to do!
We specialise in ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™, methods which look at the interconnectedness of the human body and how non-painful areas and areas away from the site of injury can contribute to poor movement strategies.
We take a 4-step approach.
Assessment - we will ask you many questions to understand the ’why’ - why has your injury or pain occurred? This will include an examination of you performing tasks specific to your current limitation or restriction.
Answering the ‘Why’ - identifying the driver – what is causing you not to have optimal movement?
The Plan – what treatment is needed to restore your optimal movement.
Rehabilitation - Reactivate, Rebuild, Refine, Reignite – Your program is designed specifically around your driver, the region contributing to your presenting problem.
We have a specialist interest in chronic pain, persistent injuries and multiple areas of pain, Women’s Health and post-operative management. We also love treating those with acute sporting injuries.
In addition to Physiotherapy, our services include: Exercise Physiology, Massage Therapy, Women’s Health Physiotherapy and Small Group Exercise Classes.
Small Group exercise classes include: Clinical Exercise (formerly Pilates), Post-natal exercise, Hatha Yoga, Qigong, Strength and Conditioning and an Osteoporosis-specific bone0building class, Healthy Bones. Yoga classes include: Slow Flow, Vinyasa, Restorative, Teens and Kids Yoga and Mindfulness.
