Stony Point Koala a few years ago, doing her thing. What an absolutely remarkable animal, yet we’re running out of koalas.

Jennie, of the Tyabb Koala hospital treats injured koalas, picks up deceased ones, and provides over the phone advice to those who find koalas struggling or deceased on the Peninsula.

I have first hand experience, after phoning at night time, getting advice, and help arrived within 15 minutes.

Jennie has gotten me through some very difficult moments with sick or dead koala’s over the past decade or so.

If you love koalas, and our local wildlife, please consider giving a few dollars to her hospital.

This money goes towards fuel, feed, bedding, and accessories, plus medication, vet bills and her time!

Mary Oliver nailed it with this one.

I have been reflecting on this one, for many months.

Have you ever quietly wondered why some people play it safe? They save their good clothes, until a special occasion, and don’t do activities they love, when they have the means and opportunity, nor take small calculated risks?

I’ve come to understand that not every human feels safe doing so, and nobody can influence or change these ideologies. It is not my business, and I actually do not care.

A promised tomorrow, with our chosen humans, in our chosen home, surrounded by our things, and our pets, is not guaranteed, and for that, I’m grateful.

This fact drives me to take calculated risks, and to live with purpose.

Dear community of clients, families, providers and followers.

Thank you for your likes, messages, and follows. For those who truly know me, and trust me, I’m not here to “make money”.

I’m here because since I was little, I knew in my gut that working for “the man” and doing what I considered to be meaningless s**t, was not my destiny.

Recently, I have been challenged by new clients, demanding I refund their plan.

I would not be able to sleep at night, knowing I’d taken advantage of another person, let alone a vulnerable person.

I’m not here to defend myself, or justify my work. I feel sad and very broken, that parents and care givers can refuse care for their at-risk kids.

We have a generation of kids emerging who have no support, no education, and a lack of agency to operate in the world. I blame multi-generational bulls**t parenting.

Supports and services are here, ready and wanting to offer support.

Hey Community,

It’s been wonderful getting back to work, visiting clients and their families.

2026 update is that I am no longer welcoming self-managed clients.

I am continuing to welcome plan-managed clients only.

At the very real risk of blowing one of the best kept secrets this side of the Ninch......todays Saturday Shoutout goes to Stony Point Caravan Park

Donna and Lee are living the dream, they have managed the park for many years, live on site, have the best views morning, noon and evening and love the stunning early morning ventures out on Western Port in the boat to get some of the best fish around.

There are 22 powered sites, 4 unpowered sites, 2 two bedrooms cabins and 1 three bedroom cabin. There also 12 annual caravan sites but I reckon you need to get in quick especially at this time of the year. The park is right next to the Stony Point Train station and a hop skip and a jump from the French and Phillip Island ferry.

It is a beautiful park with newly renovated amenities, a Camp kitchen and directly opposite Stony Point Boat Ramp - a perfect spot to pull your caravan up with your boat and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.

Donna and Lee are local legends and great hosts too!

Don't want to let the secret out but you guys deserve a Shout Out!!!!
