🌿 I will be randomly spotlighting herbs and plants I am being drawn to while working at Warrawee Wholistic.
The first is a plant I have recently been drawn to in the herb garden of which is the Echinops ritro ‘Veitch’s Blue’ (Globe Thistle):
It was an ‘of course’ moment as one of this beautiful plant’s uses is to treat arthritis and general pain; with studies showing root extracts can reduce swelling, similar to low-dose ibuprofen.
🌀 Spiritual / Energetic Uses, Design, Care
Echinops (Globe Thistle) embodies strong spiritual energies of resilience, protection, and transformation, often symbolising the ability to overcome adversity and defend against negativity.
It is linked to grounding, purification, and boosting spiritual power.
This flower encourages shifting perspective, aiding in maintaining personal, emotional, and spiritual ground.
Resilience and Strength:
Due to its sharp, spiky, and hardy nature, the plant represents enduring strength and the power to thrive in difficult conditions.
Protection and Boundaries: The defensive spikes are associated with guarding against negativity and protecting one’s energy.
Transformation and Regeneration: It acts as a symbol of personal growth, change, and the ability to regenerate.
Perspective and Grounding: Ravenessences suggests Globe Thistle helps move away from self-absorption toward a bigger-picture view, helping to hold your ground while navigating emotional intensity.
Purification and Power: It is associated with the “fire of spirit” and uplifting, purifying energy.
