A crucial lesson I’ve learnt as a new mum…
It is completely possible to take of yourself even when you have a newborn. It is all about expectations and mindset.
✨ The 2 minute scorching hot shower does wonders for the mood.
✨ The little sprits of sleep mist before bed makes you feel special.
✨ The indulgent mid afternoon sweet treat is energising and guilt free.
✨ The extra layer of skin care takes 1 minute and makes you feel less tired.
✨ Adding fragrance to your bedroom adds some novelty to spending so much time in there.
The moment you start getting frustrated because you don’t have 3 hours to go and get your nails done, you start to suffer.
What our yoga practice teaches us is that we suffer less when we simply meet the moment. So four weeks post partum, I am practicing meeting the small moments, and it makes the world of difference.
