Community Drop-in Session

Our hearts are with the Teesdale community after today’s devastating loss.

To offer support, there will be a drop-in session at the Teesdale General Store between 9am and 12pm tomorrow, Friday 28 March 2025.

Trained volunteers from Victorian Council of Churches – Emergency Ministries will be present to provide emotional support and connect Teesdale residents to vital support services.

Talk The Walk Speech Pathology is looking for a new team member for 2025! This is a great opportunity to work within a lovely country community.

We're looking for a wonderful qualified Speech Pathologist (SP) - both new graduates and experienced practitioners are welcome to apply. The position will be clinic based with some mobile work in Golden Plains. This position will commence Jan/Feb 2025 (negotiable).

The successful practitioner/s will have a great work ethic and passion, can work as a part of a team, but also happy and confident working independently.

Hours, days and start/finish times are flexible.
Part time Employee (Flexible days/ hours)
Regular Supervision and Mentoring
Paediatric caseload

Don't forget our new Oral Language Playgroup starts next Friday. The response so far has been great with the group nearly at capacity. This group is not a replacement for targeted therapy or group intervention BUT a group for all children within the ages of 2;6-4yrs to assist the development of their comprehension, following instructions, vocabulary expansion and other skills to assist development.

Some of our clients noticed that some resident fairies 🧚 🧚‍♀️ moved into the waiting area over the weekend- they also brought some animal friends with them that you are welcome to play with whilst you wait 🐿️ 🐦 🦌 🐸 🦄 🍄

This week we would like to acknowledge our first Speech Therapy Assistant, Tara who celebrates a year with us. Tara is a wonderful asset to the team, her dedication to delivering a service to her clients and the rapport she has with them shows her passion she has as an STA. We are looking forward to Tara continuing to grow her skills as she works towards graduating as a Speech Pathologist in the future. We hope you enjoyed your cupcake & gift 🌈

**ATTENTION Allied Health Assistants & Speech Pathology Students**

Talk The Walk Speech Pathology is hoping to add to our small & dedicated team in the lovely country community of Bannockburn within the Golden Plains Shire (approx. 30mins from Geelong & 1hr from Ballarat)

We are looking for an enthusiastic & passionate Speech Therapy Assistant (STA). The position will be clinic based with some mobile work in the Golden Plains area.

The successful applicant will have a great work ethic and passion, work as a part of a team, but also happy and confident working independently.

Hours, days and start/finish times are negotiable. This is a casual position during school terms currently 1 day / week guaranteed minimum with possibility of increased days.

Background in speech pathology or allied health is preferred however other applicants will be considered if they have the passion and mindset in line with our values.

Starting Term 2, 2024
