Bannockburn Bush parkrun Event #360 29/11 2025 Run Report
While the weather could have been worse today, it wasn’t too bad, especially for the volunteers sheltering under the marquee.
It also didn’t stop Peter, Chris, Leanne and Kyelin from getting themselves a pb. Perhaps they wanted to get home to dry off. Well done to you.
We had 53 people chose to come out and brave the elements, with the usual mix of runners, joggers, walkers and strollers. Well done to you all for turning up and giving it a go on a kind of dreary day.
Our one and only First Timer/visitor was Chris from Karkarook parkrun. By visiting us today, he has now completed 100 different parkrun locations. That’s a lot of touristing. Awesome job.
We also had Colin, one of our junior runners, reach his 25th run milestone today. He has participated at 4 different parkrun locations and volunteered 5 times. Great work young fella.
As usual, the event couldn’t go ahead without our wonderful volunteers.

As well as the above vollies that had specific roles, we are always very fortunate to have helpers on hand to assist with packing up. On a day like today it was much appreciated.

Bannockburn Bush parkrun event #359, 22nd November 2025

We had a special milestone today, with Event Director Tracey completing her 250th parkrun. Not only has Tracey run, jogged or strolled in 250 events, but as a volunteer, turned run director, turned event director, she has volunteered a massive 153 separate times. Her efforts behind the scenes are crucial for our event to go ahead each week, so from the Bannockburn Bush community we say congratulations and thank you.

It was also mentioned before the start that it might be PB conditions, and that was proven right by the 13 out of our 102 participants who achieved a new PB today. Congrats to Finn, Lilly, Greg, Brent, Sandra, Stephanie, Clancy, Nicole, Jenna, Piper, Melissa, Leanne and Kaleb. Thanks also to those other runners out on course who spurred them on, it’s great to hear people say how encouraging everyone is out on the course.

Welcome also to our visitors and first timers to parkrun, as one of you mentioned ‘what a great way to start the weekend,’ which is why so many of us come back week after week (that, and the food at the café afterwards).

As always thanks to our volunteers with a big crew today – Marissa, Lenny, Addie, Elliott, Julie, Kelly, Christine, Shelley, Beck, Michelle, Remi and Harper.
