Rain? What rain? The forecast is for PERFECT running weather at 8am tomorrow morning at Bannockburn Bush. So, come join the happy, smiling runners and volunteers for our 7:55 briefing. If you are new, you are very welcome and we'll have our First Timers volunteer ready to fill you in at 7:50. See you then.

Event #355 - 25/10/25

There were 85 finishers in the bush yesterday to witness a special milestone - the wonderful Annette who celebrated her 250th run. Annette is always very encouraging towards other parkrunners and is a cherished part of our regular community - well done Annette!

There were 5 people who visited us for the first time, some doing their very first parkrun - welcome Victor, Jackson, Liam, Jacqui and Rachel. We hope you enjoyed it enough for a return visit!

The cool conditions were right for PBs for 6 finishers - congratulations Dave, Melissa, Angus, Danielle, Sharon and Sonja!

Thanks as always to our super team of volunteers who gave up their own runs to make sure the event ran smoothly - Linda, Michelle, Narelle, Polly, Carolyn, Harry, Tamara, Mel, and Rod.

Wow what a crowd we had. An amazing 127 runners/ walkers joined us as we celebrated our 8th birthday with a Bogan theme.

We welcomed visitors Tess, Luke, Dinas, Dianna as well first timers, Angus, Chloe, Mia, Brody, Leanne, Sharon, Akeylah, Bella, Jackie. We hope you were not put off by our dress style, we don’t always dress this way …. or do we????

Congratulations to the following who achieved a PB; Declan, Owen, Briar, Phoebe, Keira, Sophie, Phil, Aylssia, Cadi, Peter, Hunter.

Just to make the celebrations even more exciting, we had a lot of milestones, some even doubling up, now that calls for great management of the runs/volunteers.

11th October 2025
This week 94 people joined us to enjoy the windy Bannockburn Bush. 7 people were first timers, and may not have realised that the wind wasn't standard for us, but 10 people enjoyed that wind enough to clock up a PB. Well done to Archer, Logan, Seth, Matilda, Phil, Corey, Clancy, Koharu, Taylah, and Bethany!

Big thanks to our volunteers today, stepping in to help run our event. Thank you Julie A, Julie B, Jamie, Michelle, Aaron, Kirsten, Annette, Melissa, Ellie and Jill.

Next week it's our 8th birthday celebration, the Bogan Bannockburn Bush parkrun. Grab your worst Flanno, or maybe your best mullet, we'd love to see you there!

It's worth noting that we've had 2497 different people complete our parkrun over those 8 years, with 252 different volunteers. There's only one Event Director that has been in charge for all of those 8 years though, and that's Julie Buyel. So if you see Julie next week, even if she's dressed in her bogan best, please let her know how much you appreciate her, she does a lot behind the scenes to keep the Run Directors in line, and she's an all round excellent human.
