in Golden Plains – get ready to unleash your music
and shine at Battle of the Bands 2026!
📆 We’re on the lookout for bands made up of
young people aged 12 to 25 across Golden Plains to
battle it out on Saturday 21 March from 4 to 7pm at
Turtle Bend Reserve in Teesdale.
This event is part of an awesome line‑up created by
Fuse, the fresh new name for the former Golden
Plains Shire Amplify/FReeZA Committee!
Supported by the Victorian Government’s Amplify
program, Fuse gives young people aged 12 to 25 the
chance to step up, get creative, and design events
that are fun, inclusive and local. For young people,

We’re excited to launch FUSE, our newly rebranded Amplify Committee—made by young people, for young people. And they’re kicking things off with their first event at Smythesdale RecFest!
Get ready to roll! Join us for a high energy BMX and skateboard workshop run by experienced coaches from the Y. Whether you’re learning the basics or levelling up your tricks, you’ll be supported the whole way. Hosted by the FUSE crew, the session will be pumping with great tunes and good vibes while you ride. Come for the skills, stay for the sound!

🎲Mondays – Get Unplugged with James & Suze
Hang out, play board games, challenge someone to table tennis, or jump into Dungeons & Dragons every second week.

🎨Tuesdays – It's Y-Art with Suze, Liv & Shaun
Get creative, try new art activities, and make something cool to take home.

👩🏼‍🍳Wednesdays – Whip it up with Liv & Shaun
Join us in the kitchen and learn to whip up tasty dishes (and eat them of course!).

🎮Thursdays – Plugged in with Shaun & James
It’s all things gaming, take the VR for a spin, or if you’re in the mood to chill, relax with a movie instead.
