🩵 Hello from Bel 🩵
For those who are new here, I thought I’d introduce myself.
I’m Belinda - the founder of Namaste Kids, mum of three, and the person you’ll find setting up the mats, adjusting the studio lighting a million times, welcoming children at the door and guiding our classes.
My background is in psychology and children’s wellbeing (for almost 20 years - yikes time goes fast), including supporting children and families experiencing developmental trauma and emotional challenges.
Through that work, I saw how important it is for children to have simple, practical ways to help their bodies and minds feel calm and safe.
That’s what led me to yoga and movement. These are actually tools I first discovered to help regulate my own nervous system - something I wish I had learnt much earlier in life.
Now I feel incredibly passionate about sharing simple wellbeing tools that children can actually use in everyday life - things like breathing, movement, mindfulness and relaxation.
Namaste Kids isn’t just about cool yoga poses.
It’s about creating a warm, welcoming space where kids can move their bodies, have fun, build confidence and learn practical skills to support their wellbeing well into their future.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a lovely community of families here.
Watching children grow in confidence each term is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Thank you for being here 🩵
P.S. The sun mural in the studio was painted by my son and me - my favourite part of the space. ☀️
