How beautiful are our Hippeastrums?! Looking magnificent in the Wednesday sunshine outside the clinic during their annual flowering 🤩❤️ Fun facts for today: Named by British botanist William Herbert back in 1821, hippeastrum means “Knight’s star”. Native to Central and South America, European explorers first brought them home in the 18th century. They are prized for their large, showy, trumpet-shaped flowers ❤️
