We loved coming together for our quarterly Professional Learning Day, where we focused on ADHD with Fiona Alexander from REACH ADHD Coaching and Consultancy. We also refreshed our shared approach to goal setting and outcomes, strengthening our practice to better support children and families.

Thanks to the Department of Communities, we’re proud to be delivering, ‘Behaviour: A Sensory Perspective’, a new program exploring how children’s sensory processing influences behaviour, emotions, and participation in everyday life and how to support them.

The program launches in April in Broome and will be delivered by two of our occupational therapists.

Wishing everyone a happy, safe Easter break. We will be closed from Friday 3rd April – 6th April 2026.

On World Autism Understanding Day, we wanted to share a recent project where children wrote/drew what they love about their unique brains. 🌈

Let’s remember to see, celebrate and value all the strengths, interests, and aspirations of every child.

To celebrate , here are some things we’d love you to know about communication from one of our Speech Pathologists:

• Communication looks different for everyone.
• Some people use words, sounds, gestures, signs, pictures or a communication device.
• All ways of communicating are valid.
• Some people need more time to communicate.

Making space for different ways of communicating helps everyone feel understood.

🌟 Please join us in welcoming our newest graduates into our 2026 program! 🌟

We’re already well into Term 1, and our grads are already an integral part of our team. Over the year ahead, they’ll continue to be supported, mentored and challenged as they grow their skills and make a real impact in the lives of the children and families we work with.

We are so glad to have them as part of the Kids Are Kids! team.
