Confidence looks different for everyone, and this week, it looked like Dan and Scotty catching waves.

They took part in the annual Disabled Surfers Association South Coast event (not with us this time, but we’re their biggest fans!). At Azuraa, we celebrate every brave moment, even the ones we’re not physically there for, because building a life full of adventure is what we’re all about.

Azuraa is expanding in Batemans Bay and we’re looking for incredible humans to join our support team.

We’re not your standard provider.
We help people dream up what’s possible and then we make it happen.
Whether that’s building life skills, creating connection, or trying something wildly new.

We value real relationships, creativity, and a whole lot of heart.

What You’ll Need:
To work as a support worker with NDIS participants, you’ll need:
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✅ Working With Children Check (WWCC)
✅ Current First Aid + CPR
✅ NDIS Worker Orientation Module (free and online)

It’s also a big plus if you have:
⭐️ Infection Control Training
⭐️ Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) skills
⭐️ A Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) — or something similar
⭐️ Experience working in disability, mental health, aged care or community support

Big changes are coming for disability support workers.
And in a changing sector, the team you join matters more than ever.

Azuraa Disability Services is a highly registered NDIS provider and we’re growing our team in Ulladulla.

We don’t just offer support, we create space for dreams to come to life. From beach trips to budgeting wins, creative getaways to cocktail-making, our work is full of colour and real connection.

That’s why we’re looking for support companions (not just workers) who are:
1. Driven by heart
2. Curious and compassionate
3. Ready to explore what’s possible with participants, not just follow a checklist.

To work as a support worker with NDIS participants, you’ll need:
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check

When you’ve worked in the industry long enough, you learn how the NDIS really works and what gets funding approved.

One of our superstar support coordinators used that inside knowledge to get a client’s plan completely transformed.

It wasn’t luck. It was:

Jess has a December dream... and it’s delicious ✨

After some colourful “crafternoons” with her support workers, Jess started dreaming big about the lead-up to Christmas.

Top of the list? A Beauty and the Feast experience… plus a Christmas cocktail-making course 🍸🎄

Her support worker is already working on bringing those festive goals to life. Because at Azuraa, support isn’t just about tasks or a checklist. It’s about listening to what our clients actually want and helping them to bring it to life, their way.

Sam is usually the one showing everyone how it’s done, from casting a line to cracking a joke. But during this week’s fishing group, he finally caught one himself (and yep, it was tiny 😂).
