📢 A Heartfelt Announcement from WeCare Health 💙

Because genuine care begins with community.

At WeCare Health, we’ve always believed that healthcare is more than medicine — it’s about people caring for people. Every smile at reception, every conversation in our consultation rooms, and every act of kindness in our clinic reflects who we are: a local team with a genuine desire to make a difference.

We’re not a big organisation — we’re your neighbours, your family’s healthcare partners, and a trusted part of this community. That’s why every decision we make begins with one simple question: “What will help our patients most?”

Today, we’re humbled and proud to share a change that brings us closer to that goal — one that ensures everyone in our community can access care without financial worry.

🌿 Introducing Universal Bulk Billing – Starting November 1, 2025!

Beginning November 1, 2025, WeCare Health will proudly implement a Universal Bulk Billing Policy for all eligible Medicare item numbers.

This means that if you hold a valid Medicare card, you’ll be able to access eligible services at WeCare Health with no out-of-pocket costs.

This decision was made possible with the support of the Australian Government, whose continued investment in bulk billing incentives has helped local healthcare providers like ours make care more affordable for patients and families.

We’re grateful for this support — it allows us to honour our mission of providing compassionate, high-quality, and accessible care for all.

This step represents more than just a policy change — it’s a reflection of our promise to keep healthcare accessible, inclusive, and compassionate for every person who walks through our doors.

💙 Why We’re Making This Change

WeCare Health was built on the belief that quality healthcare should be available to everyone — regardless of background, circumstance, or financial situation.

Here’s why Universal Bulk Billing matters deeply to us:

1️⃣ Community Comes First
We’ve seen how financial pressures can make people delay or avoid medical care. By adopting universal bulk billing, we’re removing that barrier — ensuring everyone has access to timely, essential healthcare.

2️⃣ Compassion and Quality, Always
While our billing model is changing, our standard of care never will. Our patients can continue to expect thoughtful, respectful, and thorough care from every member of our team.

3️⃣ Accessible Healthcare for Every Family
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we want you to know that quality care shouldn’t depend on what’s in your wallet — it should depend on what you need.

4️⃣ Together for a Healthier Community
When we make healthcare easier to access, we strengthen our whole community. Healthier individuals lead to happier families and a stronger, more connected neighbourhood.

💬 What Is Universal Bulk Billing?

Bulk billing means WeCare Health will bill Medicare directly for your eligible healthcare services.
That means:
• ✅ No upfront payment
• ✅ No gap fees
• ✅ No hidden costs for eligible Medicare consultations and services
To learn more about what’s covered, you can visit the Department of Health’s guide:

👉 Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program – Eligible Services (http://www.health.gov.au/resources/publications/bulk-billing-practice-incentive-program-eligible-services)
And if you’re unsure, our friendly front desk team will always be here to answer questions — because we believe healthcare should feel clear, approachable, and kind.

🙏 A Message from Our Team
To our patients and community — thank you.
Your trust, kindness, and support inspire us every day. We see you not just as patients, but as partners in building a healthier, more caring future.
Introducing Universal Bulk Billing is a step that reflects our values, our gratitude, and our promise to always put people first.

From all of us at WeCare Health, thank you for being part of our journey. We’re excited to keep growing, learning, and caring — together.

🌿 WeCare Health – Humble Care. Genuine Hearts. Healthier Communities.

Congratulations Dr Pav 🎉🎉👏👏😊
A very well deserved leadership spotlight
WeCare Health Bathurst is proud to recognise and celebrate an exceptional leader whose impact continues to inspire and elevate those around him .
Your dedication , strategic vision , and unwavering commitment to excellence have made a lasting impression on our team and culture .
It is a privilege to have you on board as a valued team member and leader .
Your contributions are not only deeply appreciated- they are truly transformational.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. Here’s to continued success and leadership that moves us all forward.

Congratulations 🥳 once again from the entire team at WeCare Health .

Meet Dr Pavan Tumkur Phanindra also known as Dr Pav, our Director Emergency Department at Bathurst Health Service!
Here's a quick dive into his world in 60 seconds:
Q: What are three words your family and friends would use to describe you?
A: Compassionate, reliable and dedicated
Q: Favourite book or podcast?
A: The Empty Path: Finding Fulfillment through the Radical Art of Lessening by Billy Wynne. This book advocates embracing emptiness—not as lack, but as simplicity and clarity. It presents mindfulness through the lens of reducing the nonessential in life, encouraging spaciousness and presence.
“Greet the next moment with an open heart.” (A guiding attitude in the book’s practical approach to living with simplicity.)
Q: If you could learn a new skill, what would it be?
A: Poetry sounds like an amazing skill to dive into! It’s a great way to tap into emotions, capture moments, and express thoughts in a way that resonates deeply. I think I’d love to explore it too. There's something special about playing with language—finding the perfect words to evoke a feeling or tell a story in just a few lines.
Q: Any hidden talents?
A: Cooking.
Q:If you were cooking dinner, what will everyone be eating?
A: Quinoa & Vegetable Khichadi with Coconut- Mint Raita
Q: What attracted you to WNSWLHD?
A: I think my attraction to regional areas like Bathurst really comes from growing up in a small town. I’ve always felt a deep connection to that sense of community and the idea that everyone looks out for each other. In a regional setting, you see the direct impact of your work, and there’s something really fulfilling about being part of a place where people genuinely care for one another.
In my hometown, there was always a strong sense of support, and I think that shaped my perspective on the value of accessible services and how important it is to give back to a community. It’s not just about the work you do—it’s about being part of something that matters and making a difference where it counts the most.
Q: When the time comes to retire, what will you be doing?
A: Trip to Himalayas
Best advice you've received:
“It’s time, it will pass.” It’s a reminder that moments, both good and bad, are temporary, and things tend to evolve with time, whether we’re ready for it or not. The sense of impermanence can help us approach both challenges and opportunities with more perspective.
