Vivability Limited is a not-for-profit, registered charity and disability service provider, committed to creating real opportunities for people with disabilities to take part in community life.
The Ambulance Station Redevelopment will include a social enterprise coffee lounge and cocktail bar. It will create supported employment where people with disabilities are paid award wages or higher and can gain skills, confidence and connection.
Did you know more than 20,000 people with disability in Australia are paid below award wage? We believe Bathurst can lead by doing things differently.
Vivability currently runs three social enterprises, with St Johns becoming our fourth. Each one creates local jobs and supports economic participation in our region.
We are proud to invest in people and place, and to keep creating opportunity in Bathurst.

Locals are set to be sipping on cocktails in the former Bathurst Ambulance Station building before the end of 2026. https://bit.ly/4jGhLlA

We are nearing completion of our largest residential build to date in Bathurst, a purpose-designed group home shaped by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability and our commitment to placing people with disability at the centre of decisions.

The design reflects best practice standards for safety and quality. Recent announcements confirming mandatory registration for Supported Independent Living and digital platform providers reinforce the importance of safeguards that support quality, safety and transparency, reforms Vivability strongly supports.

Thank you to our local builder Kenwood Homes for delivering this significant project. We look forward to welcoming residents soon.
