Studio BeneFit Studio Benefit offers exercise alternatives for all fitness levels. Hot Power Yoga, Beginners Yoga, Pilates and small group/corporate/personal training.

Locally owned and operated Yoga/Fitness Studio located in Bathurst, NSW 2795. Studio Benefit opened in 2012 providing small group facilities. Offers an exercise alternative to all ages and abilities in both class and individual sessions. Classes available include Beginners Yoga, Stiffies Yoga, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Pilates, Pre and Post Natal classes and Cardio Boxing. Personal training sessions are available and one-on-one rehabilitation. Studio Benefit also works with Medicare to provide Exercise Physiology services to individuals with chronic health conditions. Happy International Women’s Day 💜

The past week we’ve been reflecting on our incredible all female team and celebrating the unique superpowers each woman brings. Individually amazing, but combined, something truly special 💥

We’re so lucky to work alongside such supportive, like-minded women who celebrate the wins and lift each other up when it matters most.

A HUGE congratulations to Mary Fletcher, a very deserving recipient of the Bathurst Woman of the Year Award 🎉🙌💐 Your dedication and contribution to the Bathurst District Historical Society is truly inspiring 👏

It was also a privilege to be a guest speaker at the Bathurst Quota Club on Monday night and share my journey with such a warm and welcoming group of women.

To all the fabulous females out there keep shining and supporting one another ✨

✨ This Week in the Studio: Exploring Balance ✨

Have you ever noticed how some days you spring out of bed firing on all cylinders… only to find your energy has completely fizzled out by mid-afternoon?

Or maybe you’re slow off the mark, but once you warm up into the day you’re on a complete roll, then tumble and drop into bed?

Or perhaps your energy comes in bursts that quickly tire?

In yoga philosophy, the Three Gunas (from the Bhagavad Gita) help us understand these fluctuations.

🔺 Sattva – the pinnacle, the centre of the triangle.
Light, clear, balanced, calm, harmonious. This is the state we’re cultivating steady energy, clarity, and ease.

🔻 Tamas – heavy, slow, dull, lethargic, a little “blah.”
We need Tamas for rest and sleep… but too much can leave us stuck.

🔻 Rajas – movement, action, drive, “get up and go.”
It fuels productivity and momentum… but in excess can tip into restlessness or burnout.

The key is awareness. We are in a constant state of fluctuation and that’s completely natural. The practice isn’t to eliminate Tamas or Rajas, but to recognise where we are and gently guide ourselves back toward Sattva, balance for physical, mental, energetic and emotional levelling.

Last Saturday we kicked things off with our very first Benefit Blend class ✨

We took a slow, supportive approach — introducing reformer basics, exploring how movements felt in the body, and pairing it with mat work using resistance bands. The focus was on connection, control, and confidence.

This week, we gently build on those foundations.

We’ll be progressing the reformer repertoire and layering in small weights during the mat section — continuing our mindful, body-aware approach to movement. No rushing, no pressure — just smart, intentional progress.

We’re so excited to officially welcome Trish to the team at Studio Benefit!

Trish brings a wealth of experience as a qualified Yoga & Pilates Instructor, along with Cert III & IV in Fitness and a background in Strength & Conditioning. Her knowledge, energy, and passion for movement make her an incredible addition to our community.

Fun fact – Trish and Liz go way back! Liz actually started out working for Trish when she owned City Fit, making this a true full-circle moment that we absolutely love 💛

This beginner-friendly class combines 50% Reformer Pilates + 50% floor-based movement — including strength, yoga-inspired flow and light cardio exercises. It’s the perfect way to try a bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed.

Our 6-week program is designed for those new to movement (or returning after a break). It will focus on building confidence, learning the basics and moving in a supportive, non-intimidating space. You’ll be guided every step of the way, with options to suit your body and fitness level.
