We welcome the loosening of restrictions on elective surgeries by the federal government as this increases the number of patients we have the ability to help. As a healthcare organisation we take our responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of our staff, Medical Officers, patients, families and allied health professionals seriously. This is why we have made the decision to continue to screen all admissions, continue restrictions on visitors and ensure that we take into consideration all applicable co morbidities of our patients. Please be patient as we work through waiting lists, operating sessions, social distancing requirements and staffing. We encourage all our patients, families and the wider community to continue to follow the advice of our Medical Professionals and Government directives

The rules just keep on changing 🙄
We are prepped and ready to go ahead with all booked cases for the next week. That being said, we have no control over government directives. The health of our staff and the wider community are our priority.
We strongly encourage any patients that feel unwell or may have come in contact with a known source of COVID19 to contact us before coming to the hospital.
Please follow the social distancing and hand hygiene rules at all times in the community.
We encourage people to stay at home if you can and take this opportunity to remind you we are adhering to a zero visitor policy.

In response to the announcement today by the federal government in regards to elective surgeries.
Please be advised that we need to await advice from our surgeons in regards to which of our patients fall within the updated criteria. Please be patient with our staff. We will be in contact once our lists are confirmed. If you have any questions in regards to your classification level please contact your surgeons rooms.
Please advise your surgeons rooms if you wish to cancel any booked surgery and they can rebook your surgery and advise the hospital.
Above all else if you are unwell, been in contact with anyone that has tested positive to COVID19 or been in contact with anyone that has returned from other countries PLEASE let us know. The wellbeing of our patients and staff is of paramount importance to all of us.

At the end of a day we have never seen before we would like to say a big thankyou to our patients and their families for their understanding in such difficult circumstances. We acknowledge your distress during our zero visitor policy. Please know we understand and will do what we can to make your stay comfortable.
We thank our medical officers for their support in these unprecedented times.
