Community Supporting Community – Love It!

A big shoutout to Blue Illusion for hosting another fantastic fundraiser - this time in support of the Camden Hospital Auxiliary.

Blue Illusion have generously supported PAWS Pet Therapy in the past, even running a state-wide fundraiser to help us continue our work – and we are so grateful for their ongoing commitment to community wellbeing.

The Camden Hospital Auxiliary does incredible work behind the scenes, raising vital funds to support patient care and services, and purchasing much-needed equipment for the hospital. They have also generously sponsored PAWS visits to the patients, families and staff of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation.

We hope you have a fantastic event – thank you for making such a positive impact in your community!

International Bird Day 2026

Today is a gentle reminder to protect and care for bird populations all around the world β€” especially those living in captivity who rely on us for their wellbeing.

We are so lucky to have such as wonderful variety of birds in Australia, with our national bird being the tall, flightless emu. Some of the world’s most unique birds are found only in Australia β€” including the Superb Lyrebird, Kookaburra, Gouldian Finch, Black Swan, and the Cassowary.

Birds bring something truly special into our lives.
Just sitting quietly and watching them go about their busy day can be incredibly calming. It’s a simple, natural form of pet therapy that reminds us to slow down and be present.

In this turbulent and crazy world we are currently living in, I’m sure we all agree we could all use a little more peace, love, harmony and hope – something beautifully symbolised by the Peace Dove.

Today, let’s take a moment to notice the birds around us.
Protect them. Appreciate them. Learn from their quiet magic.

Today marks a year since we lost our lovable, cheeky, clever, big hearted ball of personality, Ringo. I watched him being born and he was a beloved family member for 15 years.

A therapy dog with a cheeky side, he brought smiles and laughter to many of his clients. Now, he's over the Rainbow Bridge reminiscing about the good times, with Hudson.

Forever loved - we miss you little Ringo. X

One year since we lost our beautiful Hudson.

Hudson and I worked side by side for so many years that I’ve lost count of the beautiful memories he created along the way.

He brought comfort, joy and calm to so many people in hospitals, palliative care units, aged care homes and mental health programs.

Wherever he went, Hudson made people feel a little lighter, a little less alone, and a lot more loved.

But more than the incredible therapy dog he was, Hudson was family.

He was our loyal companion,a calm presence, and the one who could always make us smile, even through the toughest times.

Today is one of those tough days, Huddie. As I look back on our years together and all the lives you touched, I wish more than anything that you were here today to wipe away the tears.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever part of PAWS Pet Therapy.
