💦 Water Play Fun in Kinder Today! 💦

What a splashing good day we had in our kinder room! 🌊✨
Our little scientists were busy exploring the question — “What floats and what sinks?” 🤔🔍
With tubs of water and a variety of objects, children made their own predictions, tested their ideas, and shared their exciting discoveries with friends.

It was amazing to see so much curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork in action! 💭🧠
Through water play, children not only had fun but also learned about science, cause and effect, and observation skills.

At Bayswater Childcare and Kinder, we love creating hands-on learning experiences that spark wonder and joy in every child. 💙💧

🎃👻 Halloween Fun at Bayswater Childcare & Kinder! 👻🎃

What a spooktacular time we had celebrating Halloween 2025! The children had an amazing day filled with creativity, laughter, and lots of fun. 🧡

From spooky arts and crafts 🖍️🕷️ to dancing along to our favourite Halloween tunes 🎶🦇 and showing off their adorable costumes, it was a day full of excitement and imagination!

We loved seeing all the happy faces and the wonderful effort everyone put into their outfits and creations. Thank you to our families for helping make this day so special! 💫

Our little friends enjoyed a fun and flavourful lunch today — tacos filled with fresh, healthy ingredients! 🌽🥬🌮

And to top off the day, we served crispy cheese sticks for afternoon tea — a perfect snack to keep those smiles bright and tummies happy 😋💛

We love providing nutritious and tasty meals that our children enjoy every day! 💚

🌿 Kinder Outdoor Learning Fun! 🌿

Today our Kinder children spent a beautiful time outdoors with their friends and educators, exploring the wonders of nature! ☀️

Together, they read the “Soil Builders” book and were so curious to learn amazing facts about how reptiles and insects build their homes in the soil. The children loved observing as the educator wrote their ideas on the whiteboard, sharing thoughts and discoveries as a group. 🪱🐜🐍

It was a lovely day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and curiosity — all while connecting with our natural environment. 💚🌱

✨ Happy Diwali from all of us at Bayswater Childcare and Kinder! ✨

Today our centre was filled with light, colour, and happiness as we celebrated Diwali – the Festival of Lights, a beautiful festival from Indian and Nepali cultures. 🌼

Our amazing staff came dressed in bright, colourful traditional outfits, bringing even more joy and sparkle to the celebration. Children loved exploring this special day through Diwali-themed art and craft, rangoli designs, dancing, and listening to stories that shared the message of love, unity, and light over darkness. 🪔

It was wonderful to see everyone—children, educators, and families—coming together to celebrate and learn about cultural diversity, respect, and belonging. 🌏❤️

🎨 Messy Hands, Big Imaginations! 🖐️

Today in the kindergarten room, our little artist decided to get creative in the most fun way—using her hands to paint! From swirling colors to bold handprints, she explored textures, shapes, and patterns while letting their imaginations run wild.

It was messy, it was colourful, and it was full of laughter! 🌈✨ Not only did this activity spark creativity, but it also helped her develop fine motor skills, sensory awareness, and self-expression.

We love seeing our kinders dive in, make choices, and create their very own masterpieces! 🖌️💛

✨ Kinder Learning Story – Weaving the Aboriginal Flag ✨

Today in our kindergarten room, one of our curious learners engaged in a beautiful weaving activity inspired by the Aboriginal flag. Using cardboard looms and coloured yarns of red, yellow, and black, he carefully threaded the wool back and forth, creating his own flag design.

This activity supported his fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and concentration, while also fostering creativity and patience. Most importantly, it opened up conversations about the Aboriginal flag, its colours, and the importance of respecting and learning about the First Nations people and their culture.

He was so proud to hold up his finished weaving and share his creation with a big smile! 🌟

🌟 Learning Lifesaving Skills at Kinder! 🌟

Today our 4–5 year old kindergarteners took part in a very special learning experience – CPR and basic first aid awareness! 💙✨

Through fun, hands-on activities, the children explored:
👐 How to check if someone needs help
📞 The importance of calling 000 in an emergency
💓 Gentle, playful practice of pressing on the chest of a training doll to understand how CPR works
🗣️ Talking about how staying calm and finding an adult is the most important step

This experience encouraged children to build confidence, problem-solving skills, and responsibility while learning that helping others is a big part of keeping our community safe. 👩‍👩‍👦

It was wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they asked questions, practiced with big smiles, and proudly shared what they had learned with friends. 💖

At Bayswater Childcare and Kinder, we believe even the youngest children can gain valuable knowledge about safety, care, and looking after others in age-appropriate ways. 🌈

🌈🖍️ Toddler Learning Story – Early Writing Fun 🖍️🌈

This morning, our curious toddlers gathered together with colorful markers in hand, ready to explore the joy of early writing! ✨

As they scribbled across their papers, the children shared their wonderful ideas with friends and educators. Some proudly said they were making “mummy and daddy,” while others imagined a “rainbow” and even a “tiger.” 🐯🌈

Through these playful scribbles, our toddlers are not only developing early writing and fine motor skills, but also expressing their creativity, imagination, and storytelling abilities. 💡💬

It’s always inspiring to see how children’s drawings turn into meaningful conversations and joyful learning moments.
