This Saturday, the 4th of April, is the Beachmere Community Markets, the Easter one.

Come and enjoy a Bacon and Egg Roll from the Men’s Sheds BBQ, and wash it down with a superb coffee from REBEL RED. Along with all our regular stalls inside the Shed, you can get your last-minute fruit and vegetable supplies for the Easter weekend next to the Ultimate Natural dog treats stall.

And what would Easter be without chocolate and sweet things. Gooberella's Treats and Sweets. can help you out here.

Outside, as well as all our regular stalls you should have a look at the Patchouli Patch Soaps and Gifts stall. The Rocky Road soap looks good enough to eat!

I think we’ve got just what you need for those last-minute Easter presents, or even self-indulgence.

And if you want to pamper your pooch for Easter, Scrub Mutts will be there cutting nails, with hygiene clips by appointment.

Some of you may remember our international visitor Christy Sheehan back in March 2024, from the Mens Shed Mullinahone in Ireland. When he returned home, Christy sent us two beautiful hand-crafted pens.

Both pens are made from Irish Oak. The dark one however is very special, made from timber found in a peat bog, and is very old. The documentation that come with the pens authenticates the timber in the dark pen to be from around 6000 BC.

One of our talented members Heath agreed to make a display case for the pens. He also created a Certificate of Authenticity and mounted it, with the pens. in a fantastic display case he crafted from timber found out the back in the Men’s Shed.

On Tuesday, Heath presented the pens to our President Len. They'll look fantastic on the wall in the main area of our Shed.

We thank Heath for all the effort and attention to detail he’s displayed in making this work of art.

Inside we’ve got Handcrafted Pottery, Candles, Jewellery, Handmade Shawls and Rugs, Key Rings, Dog Treats, Fruit/Veg & Eggs, and heaps more. We’ll have great Coffee outside, along with locally made Jams, Honey, Locally Themed Merchandise and Gift Ideas, Plants, Clothing, Hand Bags, Hats, Sun Catchers and Jewellery, 2nd-hand goods and Bric-a-brac..

By the Men’s Shed entrance is our BBQ that serves up fantastic Bacon and Egg Rolls and Sausage Sandwiches. You can sit on the chairs by the BBQ at the Shed entrance and relax between inside and outside stalls. Or you can enjoy your food and cool drink or coffee while sitting under one of the umbrellas at an outdoor table. Here you can listen to the tunes provided by our very own talented keyboard player.

5 more sleeps! Yes, that's right, the Beachmere Community Markets are on this weekend, Saturday 7th February, 7:00 am to midday, at the Men’s Shed, 53 Rogers St.

And you will be reminded by our new banner every time you come into Beachmere this week, thanks for your support Councillor Mark Booth.

We’ve got heaps of stalls so you can grab a bargain, and fantastic Bacon and Egg sandwiches and great coffee for breakfast or brunch while you catch up friends.

It was a busy Thursday last week at the Men’s Shed. As usual, our resident master chef Ken Ward did a fantastic job on the toasties, with lots of comments on how good they are from the guys.

We also presented the lectern built by Shed members Glen Colledge and Kenny Schouten to the Victory Church, accepted by Don Myatt who is also a Shed member.

And Stephen Pooler from the Man Walk dropped by for coffee and to present an Appreciation Certificate to our President, Len Rabbitt, for the Beachmere District Men’s Shed continued support. A few of our members join Stephen and others for a walk, talk and coffee on Wednesday mornings, another great initiative helping to keep men connected.

Well, it’s only 4 more sleeps until the last Beachmere Community Markets for 2025.

We’ll have all our usual stalls, great coffee, Fruit and Veg, and the Men’s Shed famous Bacon & Egg sandwiches. It’s a great place to catch up with friends, and enjoy the great vibe of these Markets.

And don’t forget, Christmas is just around the corner, so come along and get that special gift, and maybe even a real bargain!

The Beachmere Community Markets are the place for breakfast and/or morning tea this Saturday. On top of all our usual stalls where you can grab a bargain and get some items ticked off that Christmas shopping list, we’ve got your taste buds sorted too!

The best coffees in town are available from REBEL RED The Mobile Coffee Van, and you can enjoy delightful Crepes and Galette from La Galette, or if you want you can have a delightful Bacon and Egg sandwich or a Sausage sandwich from the Men’s Sheds very own BBQ, serving breakfast from 7:00am.

Beachmere Butchery are once again sponsoring our meat raffle, where a couple of loose dollar coins could sort your BBQ requirements for the whole weekend. And if you need some salad ingredients, check out the new stall GL Produce inside for your fruit, vegetable and egg requirements.

Never letting a chance go by Brad and Ken from the Men’s Shed grabbed a photo opportunity with the Premier (David Crisafulli MP) and our local State representative (Ariana Doolan MP) while they were in town on Saturday.
