Don’t ignore snoring.
Many people think snoring is just annoying… but loud or persistent snoring can be a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA).
OSA occurs when breathing repeatedly stops during sleep. Because it happens at night, many people don’t realise they have it.
Untreated OSA can increase the risk of: • High blood pressure
• Heart disease
• Stroke
• Diabetes
• Daytime fatigue and poor concentration
The good news is that OSA can be diagnosed and treated, and treatment often leads to better sleep, more energy, and improved health.
If you or your partner notice: • Loud snoring
• Choking or gasping during sleep
• Feeling tired despite a full night’s sleep
…it may be worth discussing with your GP.
