“Pawsing for a while is good for the soul” ~ Dr. Elroy, Tree of Life Psychology & Counselling

15/02/2021

I got up early this morning and as I was observing the morning sky, I noticed the clouds were moving at quite a rapid pace.

It made me think, that nothing ever stays the same: things are constantly changing, evolving and developing. It may not seem so, especially in Melbourne, or perhaps wherever you are world-wide but things are moving constantly and unfolding. They may not be in the direction you would prefer, but where there is movement and change, there is hope.

If you are ever in doubt, look up to the sky for a minute and take a look at the clouds. Here’s what I saw this morning...

Elroy’s advice for 2021! Uh-oh...clearly he doesn’t want to work next year...I thought he specialised in people talking about their past. 🤔🐾🐶🐾😛

Just as well his humum doesn’t agree 🤗

2020 has been quite the year...we have lived through things we would never have dreamt of...ISO x2 , changing the practice to full-time Telehealth, unempawment (for Dr. Elroy)...amongst other stressors... and we have survived...and we are grateful.

2021 brings both a sense of hope and some trepidation especially in terms of CoVID not just for us but the world. It’s about learning to deal with both at the same time. Not an easy task but we will give it our best shot...one step at a time.

Dr. Elroy and I wish you all the very best of physical and mental health for 2021. Be kind to yourself and to others...and remember, we are all in this together. It is our humanity (and caninity...yes, that really is a word!) that unites us. 👐🐶

Dr. Elroy thought he better scrub up before Christmas after almost 10 months of unempawment! The first professional groom he could afford since February! 😂 He can see again ! 😱 And his humum is so proud because the groomer said he was the best behaved boy!

Good News! Dr. Elroy is going to get a canine sibling soon(we hope!). Here’s me having a chat to him about his preference for a brother or a sister. Have a listen to what he decides...

Good news! It was a relief to hear the news today that the Government has extended the Medicare rebates for Telehealth sessions until 31 March 2021. This means more people have access to counselling. Given the stress and uncertainty that Covid-19 has presented us with, this is a welcome relief...except for Dr. Elroy, who remains unempawed.
