Sauna is a hot topic lately🙂 So incase you were wondering, here is a brief overview of the different types of sauna 🔥💨🌡
🌡️ Infrared Sauna
How it works: Infrared panels emit light that heats your body directly, not the air.
Experience: Lower ambient temperatures (45–60°C), but deep-penetrating heat. Less sweating initially, but heats the body more internally.
Best for: Muscle recovery, relaxation, and those who can’t tolerate high heat.
🔥 Traditional (Finnish) Sauna
How it works: A wood-burning or electric heater heats rocks, which radiate dry heat into the room.
Experience: High temperatures (70–100°C) with low humidity. Pouring water on rocks creates bursts of steam ("löyly"), raising humidity briefly.
Best for: Those seeking a classic, immersive sauna experience with intense heat and deep sweating.
💨 Steam Room (Wet Sauna)
How it works: A steam generator fills the room with moist heat.
Experience: High humidity (~100%) with lower temperatures (40–50°C). Air feels much hotter due to the moisture.
Best for: People looking for a spa-like, skin-hydrating experience in a steamy, soothing environment.
Detox Efficiency Summary
🌡️Infrared Sauna: Best for deep detoxification, especially for targeting fat-stored toxins and supporting internal systems like lymphatic flow.
🔥 Traditional Sauna: Great for intense surface-level detox via heavy sweating; time-tested and effective.
💨Steam Room: Provides hydrating detox and opens pores well, but less effective for deep cellular detox.
