About Tulgeen Disability Services

Founded in 1977, Tulgeen Disability Services has been a cornerstone of support in the Bega community for over four decades. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to live, work, play, and grow, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to realise their full potential. Our services include:

- Supported Employment: Providing meaningful job opportunities for individuals with disabilities, fostering independence and skill development.
- Accommodation Services: Offering a range of housing options, including supported living and respite care, to ensure a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment.
- Community Participation: Encouraging social engagement through activities, programs, and events that promote interaction and personal growth.
- Education & Training: Offering accredited programs and courses to develop skills and boost employment prospects.
- Recreation & Leisure: Organising fun and stimulating activities that cater to a variety of interests, helping individuals to enjoy life to the fullest. We’re a purpose-driven organisation committed to delivering flexible, high-quality, person-centred services that empower individuals to live, work, play, and grow with independence and dignity.

We’re excited to share something special at this year’s Spring Fair & Open Day on Saturday 11 October (10am–2pm) – Dwarf Tomato Project seedlings will be available for purchase!

The Dwarf Tomato Project is a collaborative, volunteer-driven initiative that began in 2005. Its goal? To create compact tomato plants that thrive in small spaces, while still offering a huge variety of flavours and colours.

Why they’re amazing:
🌿 Compact size – perfect for pots, patios & small gardens (2–4.5 ft tall)
🍅 Over 160 unique varieties developed since 2005
🎨 Wide range of colours, sizes & flavours
🤝 Open-source breeding project supported by gardeners worldwide

Our one-day old chicks have just arrived, and our participants are absolutely thrilled.
They can’t wait to watch these tiny fluff balls grow and change over the coming weeks.
