Today marks my 35th wedding anniversary to wonderful husband Tony.
How very fortunate I am to have found my life partner more than 40 years ago and to continue to enjoy each others company as we walk through this life alongside each other
I know just how rare this is, and don’t take it for granted!

Today I have been reflecting on the role that yoga has played in my life and relationship, not only with my husband, but with myself and all around me (others and in fact all sentient beings)

Yoga can enhance relationships by fostering mindfulness, improving communication, and reducing stress, allowing us to connect more deeply and empathetically.

How Yoga Strengthens Relationships 
* Increased Presence & Mindfulness: Yoga helps you stay grounded in the “now,” which fosters better communication
* Enhanced Emotional Regulation: By regulating the nervous system, yoga reduces reactivity, encouraging patience and empathy during conflicts rather than immediate, emotional reactions. Pressing PAUSE so that we can RESPOND rather than REACT is a big one!

Continuing to show up, to unroll your mat, regardless of the season is a gift you give yourself each and every time.
It doesn’t matter if your practice is short, long, yin or yang!
It’s about consistency.
Showing up for yourself in small, steady ways.
Some days that might look like a full practice, other days it’s simply one mindful breath.
Yoga is a way of living with awareness, kindness, compassion and presence.

We practiced the 54 most popular poses as voted by YOU at our HOTTEST 100 event last Saturday

There were too many to mention here, but our top 3 were:

#2 Childs Pose
#1 Pigeon

Looking through our YG archives this morning I discovered that this fun filled event was a crazy idea I came up with back in 2018!! WOW… for 8 years we have joined together and celebrated the ways in which we love to move

Looking forward to sharing COOLING and CALMING practices with you this week - so grateful for our aircon in our beautiful space - it will definitely be cool and welcoming xx

Welcome back to YOGA GARAGE, our little tree top studio for 2026 🧘‍♀️

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
I have enjoyed connecting with family from intestate and recharged with relaxed days spent on the Yorke Peninsula, relishing some quiet time with my husband and our lovely doggos by the ocean, watching the sun rise and set and the wonder of nature all around us.
Quiet times are perfect for reflecting on the year that has just been and our intentions for the year ahead.

My 2026 intentions have been inspired by the teachings of my teacher Simi to learn more about ancient Toltec wisdom.
Ancient Toltec Wisdom teaches that freedom comes from awareness, suffering comes from unconscious belief, and mastery of life begins with mastery of attention, language and agreement.
Here are the four agreements, simply explained:
1. Be Impeccable with Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean, avoid gossip, and don’t use words to harm yourself or others. Your words shape your reality.
2. Don’t Take Anything Personally
What others say and do is a projection of their own beliefs and experiences. When you stop taking things personally, you avoid unnecessary suffering.
3. Don’t Make Assumptions
Assumptions lead to misunderstandings and conflict. Ask questions, communicate clearly, and don’t assume you know what others think or intend.
4. Always Do Your Best
Your “best” will change depending on circumstances (energy, health, mood). Doing your best—no more, no less—helps you avoid regret and self-judgment.

Key takeaway:
If you practice these agreements consistently, they can help reduce stress, improve relationships, and increase personal freedom.

Bobby and I have missed you all and we’re looking forward to getting back on the mat with you all tomorrow.

May 2026 be filled with endless opportunities and moments that sparkle with joy.

We’re back in the studio!

It’s been wonderful to see students back on the mat in our beautiful light filled space 💚

Current Government guidelines allow for 18 people per class, so classes are filling quickly.

The good news is we’re live streaming some of our studio classes so you can join in from home 🏡
