The Bat Cave has transformed into a Gift Giving Cave!!!

On your last session of the year, have your child stop by to pick out a gift. All is pre loved for some sustainable fun.

If you’d like to donate any pre loved toys or games so another child might continue to love and play with it, please drop it off when you’re next in clinic.

Anything leftover at the end of the year will be donated to Roundabout.

Happy giving!

Lauren recently celebrated World Hello Day with Tiny Teach Education where she presented on communication milestones, chatted to families on how to build communication skills in children 0 -3 years and the importance of checking in on your child's development. Check out some of the fun she had and even the local wildflowers saying hello as she arrived!

We’ve been working on our reading - Christmas style!! 🎄 ⭐️ 🎅

Together we made four different kinds of fake snow by following step-by-step recipes and reading as we went.

Now the big question is…
Which one do YOU think looks the most like real snow? ⛄

Supporting children with selective eating is all about positive, low-pressure fun. Using responsive feeding principles, our Dietitians help kids (and parents!) build confidence, autonomy and connection around food.

We recently turned fruit into pirate characters on a pirate ship — a playful way to explore what feels worrying or exciting about food, and how parents can gently navigate tricky mealtime moments. When kids feel safe, curious and in control, they can set sail toward new food adventures & goals! Reach out to our team if you'd like support on your child's feeding journey - our Dietitian's have availability now!

We’ve had some gift swap donations come in recently. Don’t forget to bring yours in!

If you haven’t already seen, we are doing a gift swap this year. Bring in your pre-loved but in great condition toys, books etc to donate before 5 December. Then from 8-18th December, collect your gift swap.

Anything leftover after 18th December will go to Roundabout Charity.

Please note, Were collecting children’s gifts only. Please make sure they are in good condition and please don’t wrap them so kids can see what they are choosing.

Friday Favourites with Sumita, OT. Here’s what she said:

“I’ve been thinking about this for a while actually and this might be a bit of a geeky answer but I keep coming back to Therapeutic Use of Self. Over the years, I’ve had many physical resources I’ve loved using - various swings, weighted items, obstacle courses, toys and games, but underpinning it all, it’s always self. The way you show up, attune to the child, use affect in the moment for connection and engagement, match their energy and use yours to support their regulation.

Through co-regulation, relationship and connection you can create safety, a place to exhale and soften which is when you can really see therapeutic change.”

We’re here to help

We are passionate about giving children and adults with speech, communication and feeding difficulties a better quality of life through personalised therapy services. We understand the emotional and physical challenges of having a loved one diagnosed with a communication or swallowing issue. We work hard to build relationships with clients, families, schools and communities to provide better living. We recognise that speech pathology can be difficult for our clients so we strive to keep our sessions fun in a comfortable environment.
