This is a little bit like awareness. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

You might take a while before you can find the words to express it.

And it might take even longer before it gets translated into changed action.

But the more we try, the more we fail, the more we learn.

Little by little we find our voice, make a change, experience the consequences as everyone wants and needs us to change back.

But if we hold the position consistently enough, other changes happen in others around us.

In time it starts to settle. And long term change has been embedded in us and in the people we love.

Transparency and openness to all aspects of your life and honest truthful and painful conversations are required after betrayal. It may not have an end date. But if there is no more deception or betrayal this won’t be a problem.

In time trust will build, and forgiveness and healing can rise up into the relationship.
