Today we’re celebrating World Day of Social Justice by focusing on the small, everyday moments that help every child feel included.

Here are some inclusion activity ideas:

Turn‑taking games
Board games, ball games, or simple “my turn, your turn” routines.

All‑voices communication time
Encourage children to communicate in any way that works for them - gestures, pointing, AAC, drawing, or speech.

Shared jobs
Give children a small team task - watering plants together, sorting toys, or building something side‑by‑side.

Kindness role‑play
Practise scenarios like inviting someone to play, helping a friend, or noticing when someone is left out.

Collaborative tasks
Build a tower together, cook a simple recipe, or complete a scavenger hunt as a team. Shared goals build connection.

Say hello to Makenzie, now a qualified therapist after a year as an AHA where her planning, hard work and genuine joy in supporting children really stood out. When she’s not at work, she’s getting creative, making treats and (recently started) heading out on the paddle board.

Since we first met, it has always been a pleasure having Makenzie as part of our team and we are so excited for what her future holds here at FFT.
