Darvell Psychology and Mindwell Psychology are two private practices based in Belmont Geelong. We are combining our teams to create a dynamic group of Clinical Psychologists and psychotherapists offering targeted, evidence-based psychotherapy that is psychodynamically informed alongside testing and assessment services. We are searching for the next team member to come on board and join our engaged and collaborative group of practitioners.

Clients:

· Our therapy clients have a variety of presenting symptoms including depression, anxiety, phobias, postnatal depression and anxiety, grief, stress, burnout, trauma, OCD, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, behavioural issues and more

· We have clients across the lifespan and can offer individual, couples or family therapy opportunities

· We have some clients who are specifically looking for in depth, long term psychodynamic treatment and are motivated to commit to this ongoing

· Clients may also be through Medicare GP referrals with mental health care plans, self-funding, using private health insurance or NDIS.

· If testing is your area of interest, we also have clients in search of an assessment to better understand symptoms of disorders such as ASD, ADHD, PTSD and complex trauma backgrounds

Referral network:

· We have well established relationships with GPs, schools, NDIS, perinatal services, and other allied health professionals

· We have an excellent community reputation

· We are connected with post graduate placement opportunities

· We will introduce and market you to our referral network as well as provide you with a caseload of therapy or assessment clients in your chosen areas

· We also encourage and support all our psychologists to build their own referral relationships

What we are looking for:

· AHPRA registered psychologists or clinical psychologists who can work autonomously but are interested in group practice. You are reflective, thoughtful, skilled and capable of delivering effective evidence based therapy (we welcome different treatment modalities however we would prefer an interest in psychodynamic therapy, although no formal training in this is required)

· Clinical psychology registrars wanting to complete the registrar program in private practice and who need to be supported with board approved supervision and client contact hours

· Psychologists with an interest in psychodynamic therapy who would be keen to engage in ongoing supervision to develop skills in this area and incorporate psychodynamic thinking into your formulation and treatment lens

**!!Mental health support!!** Please help keep the 20 Medicare Psychology rebates!!

Access to the additional 10 psychology sessions (totalling 20) under Medicare is currently only available until Dec 31. We need to do all we can to ensure that politicians are aware that the community really needs this Medicare funding to continue.

In my psychology practice I have seen this funding make a huge difference to peoples lives. It allows people to afford the help they really need.

The following petition has been posted by a young media studies student and youth advocate, who understands in depth why access to adequate psychological services matters.
