Let's talk about swallowing!
Dysphagia is the medical term for swallowing difficulties. Some people with dysphagia have problems eating and swallowing certain foods or liquids, while others can’t swallow at all.

What can a speech pathologists do to help?
- We can help teach exercises to improve the muscles used to swallow
- Help plan altering your diet to make eating safer
- Environmental changes can be made to improve the safety of a swallow.
