At the beginning of 2026, we transitioned from Speech in Focus to Innerlink Therapy. We recognise that we have not yet fully shared the thinking behind this change.

This shift was not simply about a new name. It reflects a clearer expression of who we are, how we work, and the impact we aim to create.

At the heart of Innerlink Therapy is a deeper question: What does it truly mean to strengthen?

For us, strengthening goes beyond skill development. It is about building meaningful connections, supporting each person’s capacity to participate in everyday life, and creating lasting change that carries across home, school, and community.

This was more than a new name. It is a step towards better reflecting the work we do, the people we support, and the outcomes that matter most.

At its core, Innerlink Therapy is grounded in a deeper question: What does it truly mean to connect?

Connection is at the heart of everything we do. It is the foundation for communication, relationships, learning, and participation. It is not only about participating in activities but also about being valued and having the tools to engage meaningfully with others.

For the people we support, connection might look like a child joining in play with peers, a young person confidently expressing their ideas, or an adult being able to participate more fully in daily life. For families, it is about stronger relationships. For educators and support services, it is about creating environments where a person can flourish.

This is what guides us each day and continues to shape how we support every person who walks through our doors.
