Sacred Grove

Sacred Grove Sacred Groves aim is to promote Australian Indigenous medicinal knowledge, by growing, creating products sharing the knowledge and farming unconventionally

Why Sacred Grove? The owner Edmund Gooden has had a long and deep appreciation for the natural world, bird watching as a boy progressing to working in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in the 90’s catching wild camels. Over time he learned firsthand about the use of the Scented Emu Bush and its huge place in traditional Anangu Culture, and began trying it for himself. The journey was set in motion so Sacred Grove was the end result, the ability to cultivate and express this very special plant along with Sandalwood and Native Pine. Organic certification came and the creation of the Desert Survivor Range of products came to life with new and exciting editions on their way. Edmund Gooden is living his dream of allowing you the opportunity to try these special plants and carry on the preservation and respect for Anangu Pitjantjatjara Culture.

Our Story

Visit our Website www.sacredgrove.net For more info & to Purchase our products

Why Sacred Grove? This is an opportunity for people to come into contact with Australian Plants of high order, medicinal and edible. There is now more interest in Australian Native foods which is excellent, they require very little water (less pressure on the River Murray) and fit into the natural ecosystem, Some of them may reduce pain and contain natural anti-bacterial qualities (these are the big two concerns World Wide with over prescription in particular of pain killers and antibiotics) So lets us turn our attention to what our country has to offer?

The owner Edmund Gooden has had a long and deep appreciation for the natural world, bird watching as a boy progressing to working in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in the 90’s catching wild camels. Over time he learned firsthand about the use of the Scented Emu Bush “Irmangka Irmangka” and its huge place in traditional Anangu Culture, and began trying it for himself. The journey was set in motion so Sacred Grove was the end result, the ability to cultivate and express this very special plant along with Sandalwood and Native Pine. It has to be said that anyone can respect anything if they know it well enough, so enjoy our products and live the dream - your dream................. you know the past of this Country (we can’t head in the future if we don’t know our past) so now we must pay our dues, respect it, love it and get to know the original inhabitants , learn a language and become a true blue Aussie.
