We always appreciate an opportunity to share our passion with community. Together we are stronger. The Benalla CWA Night Roses meet every 4th Wednesday of the month at 630pm to share laughs, craft, fellowship and more. It was an eye opener for us and well worth a visit if you are looking for more connection to your community.

Brick by Brick School Holiday Program Highlights!

Our participants had an great time, exploring new places and trying out fun activities!

👮‍♂️ First stop – a special visit to our town's brand-new Police Station! We got a behind-the-scenes look and learned all about how our local heroes keep the community safe.
Brick by Brick and our participants would like to give a big thank you to our local officers from Victoria Police for showing us around and making us feel so welcome! 🚓👮‍♀️

🛠️ Next up – a hands-on adventure at Bunnings Warehouse! From checking out tools to exploring the garden section, - even having the opportunity to pot their own plant - There was plenty to see and do, a thank you to Wangaratta Bunnings Warehouse Australia for this opportunity also.

🎳 Then it was time to get moving with some friendly bowling competition – lots of laughs and a few strikes too! 🎳😄

🏹 And to top it off, we tried our hand at archery practice! Bulls-eyes or not, everyone gave it their best shot!

We’re so proud of our participants for giving everything a go and making the most of the holiday program working together to give new things a try and sharing in making memories with friends.

Brick by Brick Benalla Joins Forces with Uniting Church for Community Fete for their upcoming annual Fete on Saturday the 4th of October 8:30am till noon.

Our LEGO display will feature a few EPIC builds that have been put together by participants in our programs, highlighting the joy and therapeutic benefits of our hands-on and personal activity options.

We’re thrilled to be part of this community event so we hope you will come along, say hello, check out some of our LEGO and enjoy all of the amazing activities of the Uniting Church Community Fete!

Sweet Treats, New Skills & Big Wins!

This week has been full of fun, flavour, and fantastic firsts! Our participants have been busy learning, growing, and smashing their personal goals — and we couldn't be prouder. 👏

In the kitchen, everyone got hands-on making some tasty sweets, and one participant flipped a pancake for the very first time — But the achievements didn’t stop there…

One participant completed their first independent grocery shop,
And another attended a job interview — what an amazing milestone!

Back at the hub, others enjoyed boardgames and social time, building confidence and friendships in a relaxed, inclusive and supportive space.

Every achievement — big or small — is a step toward independence, and we’re so proud to be part of each journey. 🌟

🎉✨ What an amazing experience for one of our incredible participants! ✨🎉

We had the absolute joy of supporting them to attend a Guy Sebastian signing event — and wow, the excitement was off the charts! 🙌💙

From big smiles to unforgettable memories, this experience was all about connection, confidence, and pure happiness. Seeing our participant light up with joy (and maybe a little starstruck!) reminded us why we do what we do. 💫🎤

A huge thank you to our support team for making it all possible — and of course, to Guy Sebastian for being so kind and welcoming. Moments like these last a lifetime! 💖

All action in the hub as one of our adult participants works on restoring a record player. Vinyl is the only way to listen to music, in his opinion.

He has a 1975/76 Sanyo that was originally purchased for parts for one he already owns, but has decided to restore this one instead. He picked up damaged HMV speakers for free and has googled solutions and has improved the sound of the speakers. We have Belinda Carlisle pumping out at the moment.

The next step is getting rollers for the cassette player. He has searched where to source them and they are on the way.

This project is a perfect example that all things are possible with amazing support.
