Today I happened upon an experience that moved me and that I feel to share with you all. Local artist, Amanda is showing an art exhibition at Dudley House.

This exhibition captures the experience of burnout, exhaustion and overwhelm while thinking through why this happens and the societal expectations that feed into it. I felt seen, honoured and normalised. It was a moving experience I want everyone to have.

At Dudley House, View St today tomorrow (Sunday), next Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11-4pm.

Recently, I (Kate) went to the beautiful Sunshine Coast to attend Advanced Synergetic Play Therapy training with the incredible Synergetic Play Therapy Institute and Lisa Terni Dion.

This training is about more than the practice of Play Therapy. It's about the practice of being a human in connection with other humans. It goes deep. It delves into the uncomfortable things we are tempted to avoid and helps us explore how these actually benefit our work and our life.

I'm so excited to bring this learning back and share it with our team. The team at The Village Therapy Hub is committed to sharing, learning and reflecting. The heart of our work is understanding ourselves and acknowledging our own needs in order to create a space in which families and children can show up authentically.
