MOST PEOPLE DON’T SEE THIS SIDE OF NDIS 👇
When we first started supporting one of our participants,
they were drinking every single day.
It wasn’t just occasional.
It was constant.
Every morning they woke up — they drank.
Throughout the day — they drank.
That was their life.
Life felt stuck.
Overwhelming.
Like there was no way forward.
But with the right support… consistency… and a team that genuinely cared — things started to change.
Step by step.
That participant is now almost two years sober.
In the past two years…
They found a job.
They’ve gained their learners permit.
Things that once felt impossible are now part of everyday life —
like being able to write full text messages,
remember passwords and login details,
and put together a simple shopping list.
And if we’re honest…
sometimes it’s a little bittersweet.
Because when someone needs you less,
you know you’ve done your job right.
But when you look at the bigger picture —
seeing someone achieve their goals, rebuild their life, and gain independence…
That’s everything.
And yes — there are still areas where support is needed.
And that’s okay.
Because support isn’t about perfection.
It’s about progress.
That’s why we do what we do.
It’s not about creating dependency.
It’s about creating confidence, independence, and real outcomes.
It takes a village… and we’re proud to be part of theirs.
