Bendigo • Castlemaine • Maryborough • Ballarat

They all have some incredible providers.

We’re lucky to already be connected with so many who genuinely care — working together to support mutual participants and better outcomes.

At My Village Carers, we believe this space works best when providers support each other — not compete.

Because when we collaborate, participants get better support. Simple as that.

If you’re a local provider and want to connect — reach out.
We’re always open to building strong, genuine relationships.

Changes like this can feel confusing, but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. That’s exactly where the right support makes all the difference.

At My Village Carers, we’re here to break things down, guide you through what it means, and make sure your supports continue to work for you.

If something doesn’t make sense, reach out.
We’re always here to help 💜

Not every support story ends like this.

This almost didn’t happen.

A few weeks ago, someone walked into our office completely overwhelmed.
They didn’t understand their plan.
They weren’t sure what they could actually use.
And they were close to walking away from supports altogether.

Fast forward to now…

They’re back out in the community.
They’re connected with the right services.
There’s structure again.
And things are starting to feel lighter.

They didn’t change anything about themselves.
They just finally had someone there to guide them…
connect them with the right supports…
and take that pressure off.

That feeling right there —
that’s what support should look like.

Not confusing.
Not overwhelming.
Not something you want to give up on.

At My Village Carers, we keep things simple, clear, and actually helpful.

A message to families doing it tough on the NDIS 💜🧡

You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed.

You’re allowed to feel frustrated.

You’re allowed to not have all the answers.

Because the truth is…
NDIS can be a lot.

The paperwork.
The phone calls.
The constant advocating.

It’s exhausting.

But you’re not doing it wrong.
And you’re not alone.

The right support should take that pressure off —
not add to it.

And sometimes, all it takes is the right team in your corner
to make things feel a whole lot easier.

If you ever need support — even just a chat
we’re here.

NDIS shouldn’t feel this hard.

Not confusing.
Not stressful.
Not something you just “put up with.”

The right support should feel:
✔ Clear
✔ Supportive
✔ Like someone actually has your back

If it doesn’t feel right — you can change it.

Because you deserve support that feels right…

MOST PEOPLE DON’T SEE THIS SIDE OF NDIS 👇

When we first started supporting one of our participants,
they were drinking every single day.

It wasn’t just occasional.
It was constant.

Every morning they woke up — they drank.
Throughout the day — they drank.
That was their life.

Life felt stuck.
Overwhelming.
Like there was no way forward.

But with the right support… consistency… and a team that genuinely cared — things started to change.

Step by step.

That participant is now almost two years sober.

In the past two years…
They found a job.
They’ve gained their learners permit.

Things that once felt impossible are now part of everyday life —
like being able to write full text messages,
remember passwords and login details,
and put together a simple shopping list.

And if we’re honest…
sometimes it’s a little bittersweet.

Because when someone needs you less,
you know you’ve done your job right.

But when you look at the bigger picture —
seeing someone achieve their goals, rebuild their life, and gain independence…

That’s everything.

And yes — there are still areas where support is needed.
And that’s okay.

Because support isn’t about perfection.
It’s about progress.

That’s why we do what we do.

It’s not about creating dependency.
It’s about creating confidence, independence, and real outcomes.

It takes a village… and we’re proud to be part of theirs.

Today is Autism Awareness Day.
A day to promote understanding, acceptance and inclusion.

Autism is not one size fits all — every person is different, and that’s something to be respected and celebrated.
