✨ Hanen suggest "OWLing" can be a great tool to use throughout interactions with your child for many reasons:
• It opens up opportunities to interact with your child. • Helps your child learn you are interested in interacting with them. • Helps you learn what your child is interested or motivated by, therefore increasing opportunities to interact.
• Helps your child start an interaction with you. • Helps your child understand what is said to them, and make the connection between the words you say and the objects/topics you're discussing. ✨When we slow down and Observe, Wait and Listen to kids, it helps us notice the best ways to interact with them ✨
