Cycling Without Age Bendigo Our mantra is
"The right to wind in your hair."

Bendigo is a chapter of Cycling Without Age Australia: reconnecting people in aged care, rehab and disability with their community through a ride in a trishaw ridden by volunteer pilots. Cycling Without Age is a Not-for-profit volunteer organisation which was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2012 and has now spread worldwide to a total of 42 countries. The concept of Cycling Without Age is taking the elderly and people with disabilities for rides in Trishaws piloted by volunteers. Our mission is to connect them with their community and the environment, to experience living in a positive way, avoiding social isolation and remaining active whatever their age, ability or background.

Coming into Spring and it’s been absolutely wonderful getting out and about to both the lake and the gardens for Trishaw rides. So far this month we have taken: Bethlehem 4 passengers, Mecwacare 6 passengers (photos supplied and posted previously, thank you so much), Sailability 9 passengers, photos posted, Seniors Festival, 3 passengers, photos posted, Golden Oaks 4 passengers and Carshalton 7 passengers. Thank you so much to all of the pilots involved. Thank you for your time and effort to bring Joy to our community. It is very much appreciated! 👏👏👏

Would these little bundles of fluff entice a few to come down to Lake Weeroona on Friday 10th Oct for a free Trishaw ride? We’ll be conducting rides for the COGB Seniors Festival. Meet us at the main BBQ area (near the coffee van) between 10am and 2pm and we will take you for a leisurely lap around the lake! So come on down, we’d love to see you there! 🦆

The ‘Wow’ factor is really happening at the Botanic Gardens at the moment! Absolutely stunning flowers blooming everywhere! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and of course we’ll have our trishaw out and about to take full advantage! I’m sure our residents in our local Aged Care facilities will be really LOVING their regular rides at the moment! 👍🌺🌷
