When you can't visit a doctor in person, ask if they offer phone or video consultation instead. You'll just need access to a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop and good internet connection and you can access your appointment from the comfort of your couch. Digital health allows referrals for pathology or diagnostic imaging tests to be sent electronically from your doctor straight to your phone or email. You can also ask the Pathology service if they can store your results in My Health Record. Next time you need a referral for pathology or imaging ask your doctor about using ePathology.
