Four positions to avoid to reduce lateral hip pain:
🧍♂️Avoid dropping your hip in standing, instead stand with even weight through both feet.
🧍♂️Don’t lie on your painful hip, instead lie on your unaffected side with a pillow between your knees.
🧍♂️Avoid sitting in deep chairs.
🧍♂️Try not to cross your legs in sitting and when lying on the couch.
These simple changes will help to decrease the compression of irritated structures of your painful hip.
