It’s been a busy month or two at Sandhurst Specialist Hand Clinic! Continuing to upskill with a 50 hour AHTA accredited wound course in Sydney.
Continuing to meet with GPs from the region and thanks to the team at Bendigo Primary Care for welcoming us to the CPD opportunities.

Wound care in hand therapy.
Did you know your hand therapist is trained in wound care? They can remove your stitches and manage your wounds and scars after surgery.
This was surgery on a thumb after it was cut in a box compressor and he needed to have a flap to the thumb to cover the injury.

Our integrated hand therapy and plastic surgical unit were pleased to meet with the team of dedicated GPs at Lucan St Clinic for some updates and information sharing last week. Wound Care

Did you know as a hand therapist we have undertaken additional training in wound care?

At Sandhurst Specialist Hand Clinic we are able to assist or manage your wound, whether it be a post surgical wound, or from a recent injury.

Once your wound is healed, we can progress any home exercises or scar management you may need, to allow a speedy return to life!

Your recovery will certainly be more simple having one primary point of contact to manage all aspects of your care - a role we value at Sandhurst Specialist Hand Clinic, for all of our patients in Bendigo and surrounding regions.
