🧠💪 Understanding MND and How We Can Help 💬

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that affects the nerves (motor neurones) that control muscles. Over time, it can impact movement, speech, swallowing, and breathing.

While there’s currently no cure for MND, Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology play a vital role in supporting people living with the condition.
Here’s how:

Last but definitely not least, we’re excited to introduce Rachael Cheesman, our Director & Senior Physiotherapist! 🎉

Rachael has been passionate about neurological physiotherapy for over 30 years, specialising in the Bobath Concept, vestibular retraining, gait re-education, and postural dysfunction. Rachael has also expanded her expertise and holds a Masters certificate in rural paediatric practice, further strengthening her commitment to delivering high-quality care across diverse settings.

She founded The Neuro Practice in 2002, and under her leadership, our clinic continues to grow as a center of excellence in neurological rehabilitation.

Rachael is dedicated to a client-centered and meaningful approach to therapy, ensuring every individual receives the best care possible.
