Yesterday was World Parkinson’s Day - and while the date has passed, the conversation doesn’t have to.
Parkinson’s disease affects over 10 million people worldwide. It’s more than tremors - it shapes how people move, speak, sleep, and experience the world around them. For those living with it, and for the families and carers who show up every day, awareness isn’t a one-day event. It’s ongoing.
At The Neuro Practice, we are privileged to work with people navigating Parkinson’s - and what we see, more than anything, is how much it means to feel understood. To not have to explain yourself. To have people in your corner who get it.
So if you missed yesterday, here’s your reminder: share a kind word, check in on someone, or simply take a moment to learn something new about what life with Parkinson’s looks like. Small acts of awareness ripple further than we think. 💙
